I don't believe the polls, and that the polls show she is leading seems to me a huge lie put on by the MSM.

I hope she gets nailed by a landslide and is denied POTUS and then get's indicted and imprisoned for her many crimes. Anyone voting for her, a person who has jeopardized our National Security, is responsible for the deaths in Benghazi, and has shown apathy about that situation needs some counseling. Or something.

Yeah, what Rooters did was change their methodology after both conventions to show a Hillary lead then a huge Hillary lead. Now, they're claiming Hillary is still leading, but by a little less than 3 ponts:

    http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-poll-idUSKCN10G2BQ

that one *could* be valid, they're using online voters only and they're using likely voters (a little early, but better). Most of these "polls" are a joke and they're basing them on 2012 turnout, using "adults", weighing inappropriately - (AJC poll has Hillary +4 or so in GA .. . they have women over-represented badly), interviewing the youngest person in the household, totally omitting Sanders supporters (ORC/CNN) and so on. The MSM is pushing against Trump way too hard and Hillary isn't acting like she has a big lead, her internal polling tells the truth.

Could very well be, considering the tone of their coverage of the election so far. It's not a stretch to assume that if CNN was helping Hillary with Sanders, they'll help her with Trump, too. And then there was the journolist thing with Obama, the MSM including FOX NEWS is anything but unbiased.

It doesn't make sense to have these wild swings within a few days, The DNC convention was a trainwreck and she just bragged that she was going to raise income taxes on the middle class.

I think the point of these polls depends - it's either to demoralize the GOP base (an old tactic), to make Hillary seem invincible, or, worse, to try to get Trump to quit the race. The MSM was even trying to push a poll saying Hillary was up in Utah, and the poll didn't even exist.

With the FOX poll, in particular:

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/interactive/2016/08/03/fox-news-poll-aug-3-2016/

42/36/18 D/R/I does not reflect reality, it's registered voters all speaking to a live operator when you could be having some kind of effect of not answering truthfully because you don't want to be thought of as a "racist" by the interviewer.

I don't think the "fly over" folks who "cling to their guns or religion" can be fooled anymore especially with Trump telling them right up front its all rigged and to vote in spite of all the doublespeak propaganda.

He does need the support of the GOP IMO.
I hear he has endorsed both Ryan and McCain!

Yesterday Obama ridiculed Trump for saying the election process was also rigged and today news has it that it's true.

It was a "flash in the pan" on TV.

Trump said that even the election process was rigged.
Obama ridiculed him for saying so.
Next day INFOWARS reported and gave evidence that the election polls had been rigged in favor of Hillary.
Pat Caddell called it "cooking" the results so that Hillary would come out ahead in the polls.

Presumably the DNC is hoping that the polls in her favor would impact the final turnout by lessening the number of people coming out to vote for Trump.

It would seem that Fox had abandoned Trump (except Hannity) along with the GOP establishment "Good old boys" , RHINOs and Neo-cons.

Kiss the Republican Party goodbye as it commits hari-cari (oops politically incorrect?) and allows our new queen to ascend to her elitist (I-can-get-away-with-anything) throne for 8 years comrades.

Say hello to a liberal progressive Supreme Court with eugenics next on the list of illegal legislation.

Remember when George W. Bush won the 2000 election? There were widespread cries that the election was rigged.

Remember when George W. Bush won the 2004 election? There were widespread cries that the election was rigged.

Remember when Barack Obama won the 2008 election? Few claimed the election was rigged.

Remember when Barack Obama won the 2012 election? Few claimed the election was rigged.

Democrats love to claim that elections are rigged.

A few months ago Mr. Trump claimed that the Republican primaries were rigged... yet he won. If he didn't win, he would have likely continued the rhetoric designed to undermine the public's trust in our political system. Since he won, it's apparently okay.

Now that he's facing a real candidate, he's claiming that everything and everyone is against him (and his followers) and that he is going to be their messiah (their "voice" and claims that he "alone can fix it"). Apparently many of his "evangelical" followers understand his message.

The false messiah is setting us up for a very bad time this November.

So? Both major parties try to "rig" the election, depends on who has the most money and/or which powerful people are supporting them in an attempt to sway the sheeple.

There are other methods they both use as well, mostly manipulating statistics, they are both master masons of high degree at that set of arts and sciences.

It's almost a fun game to watch if it didn't have such dire consequences (like electing a person of a major threat to our national security).

Looks like the Democrats have the most power and influence this time around.

How can a political party rig a presidential election when the election process is controlled in each state by state and local officials?

Easy. As Pat Caddell said - "cook" the results of the presidential polls. In other words cheat on the results by eliminating some of the undesired party calls for a "legitimate" reason or make sure the poll recipients are pre-loaded in the desired party affiliation.

Also, public media statistics can be manipulated in a "technically" fair way but yet the effect will slant them more to the desired end result. Still cheating because of intent to deceive.

These methods are used in a hope to engender a sense of defeat in the voters by showing the "unpopularity" or "lack of momentum" of the targeted candidate.

I think Pat is smoking funny stuff. That does not begin to explain how either party can influence enough state and local officials to "cook" the results. How would they do that?

Hank, since you seem open to the idea that there is a conspiracy to influence the election, would you concede that it is possible that part of it could include Trump as a shill for the DNC? He certainly has run his campaign like he is one.

Conspiracy? when did I use that word? You are putting words in my mouth.

I have always said that both parties are guilty of outright deception and manipulation of facts to better themselves.
Today it was the /Democrats turn.

Well what else would one call the effort to rig a national election if not a "conspiracy"?
