October. November. December. January. February. March. April. May. June. July. And now August.

For the sixth seventh eighth ninth 10th11th month in a row, we’ve had a month that has broken the global high temperature record.

Notice how much the ice cap has shrunk? Notice that at your front door there is ocean?

    Exactly.

Do you live anywhere near a ocean shoreline? I do. I lived far enough up hill from the high tide mark that I don't have to worry about my property. But, my town is in danger of loosing homes to shoreline erosion.

I overheard a fellow amazed at how close the shoreline was to the old Fort Fisher site, how the amphibous landing gave the Union troops only 70 yards or so to the walls of the fort. I had to explain that there was an additional 300 yards or so of land back in January of 1865.

I made my remark as I see many inlanders making such remarks with no skin in the game.

Due to the ice caps melting?

I would take a wild guess that shorelines have been eroding since the beginning of time.
