Donald Trump’s presidential campaign is accusing the New York Times of participating in illegal behavior after the newspaperpublished some of his tax records on Saturday night.

The New York Times Paid No Taxes in 2014

The New York Times has excited the Clinton campaign and the rest of the media with a revelation that Republican nominee Donald Trump declared a $916 million loss in 1995 that might have resulted in him not paying taxes in some subsequent years.

The implication, reinforced by CNN’s Jake Tapper on State of the Union on Sunday morning, is that Trump “avoided” paying taxes, when in fact his tax liability was zero.

But the Times itself has “avoided” paying taxes — in 2014, for example.

Does it really matter? Politics is a war of propaganda not a war of facts. Surely a smart guy like you understands that. Right?

Keep in mind that the mainstream media already has a level of trust among Americans lower than that of congress and it keeps getting worse for them. Why do you think they're called the dinosaur media?

Why do you think they and the democrats are so bent on censoring and smearing their opponents? Because they have such a sterling reputation for reporting the truth? No, it's because they're losing the infowar to independent media sources and they know it.

No one holds a candle to Trump in using smear tactics.

However this will not keep Trump puppets from whining and crying.

I've been waiting for somebody to get their hands on the more recent years. He is not being audited for previous to 2015 years. Why doesn't he release those?

You aren't from this planet are you? All the left has in their favor is smear and tear jerking tactics. You know this. I mean, how many years have been using these very same tactics now?

If you hadn't noticed you're using them now.

    Or 2014, or 2013, or 2012?

He says he gets audited almost every year and that he will release his taxes when the audit is complete. Well, at least one of the previous 3 years are complete. So let's see those returns.

Well at least we aren't talking about the open borders, illegals killing citizens, the decay of the inner cities, 19 trillion dollars worth of debt, common core education, racial riots increasing, let's see what else? Corruption in politics, Bill Clinton's rape victims, Obamacare premiums, the wars in the middle east, increasing tensions between Russia and the US, increasing tensions between China and the US so on so forth.

    That stuff is so boring.

Oh yeah, that to I can't keep track of all the smears they aren't using against him thanks for reminding me Hank! ;)

Here's another strike against him, he calls his boys boys and his girls girls. That's not going to earn him any points on the college campuses.

1995! Does anyone give a hoot what the Clinton campaign machine has to say about a DT 21 year old tax issue while they themselves are trying to explain away their Billary "pay to play" scandal.

Whatever DT did must have been legal tax avoidance or he would be in jail for illegal income tax evasion.

Apparently the #NEVERTRUMP crowd thinks it's a big deal. I don't see how it compares to Bill and Hillary's long history of abusing women but I guess I have my priorities mixed up.

When Trump says he is a successful businessman and that "he alone can fix our economy", you better believe the fact that he lost almost ONE BILLION dollars in one tax year is relevant.

    LINK- Weekly Standard

"In fact, Trump’s business is insanely profitable. According to that Businessweek story, the Trump Organization brought in about $605 million in revenue last year, and managed to clear somewhere between $275 and $325 million in profit. That’s a phenomenally high profit margin...his company is more profitable than Pfizer, Gazprom, and Hyundai – all the most profitable companies in their respective industries. Trump’s company even has higher margins than Apple. Who knew?"

The man has a multinational multi billion dollar business. How did he lose almost ONE BILLION dollars?

Was it bad management or did the bottom fall out of the economy of one of the many countries he has business in?

I've known people who had very successful large glass and glazing companies that lost millions because the economy tanked in 2008. Those who survived are still making a come back. Business lose money all the time due to conditions beyond their control.

Do you take advantage of every tax deduction legally allowed?

I presume by miscalculating the popularity of casinos and making a bad deal on the Plaza hotel.

Sure do. But I don't go around bragging about how smart I am for losing a billion dollars and then exercising my deductions.
