    My mother is in WPB. We've been on the phone all morning trying to convince her to go to my sister's house in Cape Coral. She's pretty adamant that she's not going to leave. If I thought I could get there before landfall I'd pick her up and drag her out of there.

    I used to not take weather seriously but since tornadoes leveled half my hometown in 2011 I don't fool around when it comes to severe weather any more.

    I was in the path of the eye for charlie. The problem with hurricanes is the also create tornado's within them. I lived without power and on curfew for 2 and one half months with charlie. This storm is much stronger. People are are under evacuation need to leave now!

    I am SOOO praying for everyone in Florida. JDF - I'm sorry about your mom. It must be killing you to not have her leave!! I don't blame you for wanting to drag her out. I hate that there are people who are ignoring the evacuation orders. This is a deadly storm and I think not having had a storm this big hit the area in a long time makes people complacent. I'd honestly be booking it out of there if I were there!! All I can do from here in NY is pray and that is what I'm doing all day long. Please keep safe Mark!!
