    As tensions rise in the middle East, an official TV channels in Russia has issued a chilling warning that war with the West could be imminent.

    Zvezda, a nationwide TV service run by the country’s Ministry of Defence, said last week, ‘Schizophrenics from America are sharpening nuclear weapons for Moscow.’

    Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday proposed a law suspending a Moscow-Washington agreement to dispose of weapons-grade plutonium.

    Officials said on Friday that underground shelters had been built which could house 12 milion people – enough for the entire population of Moscow.

    Russia has clashed with the Western powers over its policy in Syria – where it’s accused of bombing civilians – and the U.S suspended negotiations with the country yesterday.

    Both Russia and NATO are still in the position to unleash global-scale nuclear attacks – and the weapons are armed and ready.

    Rev, if you read my op/post about mother Russia holding bomb shelter exercises for more than fourty million citizens, there is something brewing. The problem is, if Russia starts a nuke out with Obama as POTUS, we will lose because he will "wimp out" and not autorrise any nukes be dropped in defense of this country.

    Scary times for sure?

    Russia, NATO, US are basically in Syria to defeat ISIS. On the same side. The only problem is that Russia has bombed indiscriminately, and even bombed a UN force that was bringing aid to civilians in Aleppo. For whatever reason Putin wants to escalate his disagreements with the US and even threatened to attack US special forces who are supporting the Kurds. Who knows what he's up to.

    Nonsense.

    Putin is not that dumb.

    He is indeed shrewd, cunning and intelligent.
    Any talk about war with the west is a smokescreen IMO.

    He is not so dumb, even with Obama as president, to risk turning the motherland into a nuclear cinder block.
    If we are attacked congress and the senate can override Obama's reluctance to defend America and Putin knows it.

    Probably a lot of this is to create the impression in Russia, in Europe, and in the middle east that Putin is large and in charge.

    Russians should have enough sense to realize the efforts it would take to shelter 12 million people successfully from a nuclear attack. Putin and somebody else are blowing smoke up their rears.
