Pro Athletes Say No One Talks Like Trump In Locker Rooms

Let's please not requote what he said.

I'm not excusing what he said, but I've heard worse in Christian school locker rooms. Also, "locker room talk" is simply anything sexual that a person would say in private but not in public.

It's hard to explain fully why I'm not too upset with what he said (although it was vulgar) without repeating things that I can't say on the board. But guys (hopefully not saved, living for God men) say things like that all the time. When they see a pretty girl they might go into detail describing what they'd do to her if they got the chance. It doesn't mean they'd actually do it. It's a form of "big man" talk. Similar to when something bad happens to someone, like a mugging. "He's lucky I wasn't there. I'd have ..." And they say something macho, even though of they were really there they'd probably have cried like a baby.

That's as detailed as I can go on this forum. But what he said doesn't upset me too much, especially in the light of his apology. And it's yet to be proven that he's ever actually done anything like that. The only word we have is a discredited woman.

Well, I'm glad that you were able to lead such a sheltered life in high school, college, and even somehow in the military. But I'm calling you out. That kind of talk abounds in the military, and has for decades. You either ignored it, or were so secluded you didn't see it.

And I never said I condoned it, as was the implication of your post. I merely said it didn't upset me, as it is a part of everyday life in a sinful world. To call one man out for it is stupid.

If pro athletes say they don't do it............then they don't do it!

In junior high school I heard a lot of talk about how much hair certain girls had down there, about fingering, about using the mouth, about girls and how much they charge to take it all off for you....

But we were just kids then. Pro athletes now....if they say they don't talk about such things, they don't. We can count on it.

 

At the end of the day, he wasn't in a locker room. It says to me that's just who he is wherever he may be. And Christians need to stop making excuses for it. We're talking about what Donald Trump, the candidate for President, did and does. What's said that's worse by whomever is irrelevant. The issue is that Donald Trump, the candidate for President of the United States, bragged about sexually assaulting women. And his statements then are consistent with how he talks about women today.

So when talking about the other candidate, responsible for the murder of 4 Americans, we're not considering something 'worse' that Trump did or said.

 

Call poncho if you want to share your conspiracy theories. Nobody here is falling for it as an excuse to continue justifying supporting that man. And y'all keep talking about her being worse, but who here is voting for her?Maybe one or two folks at most while the majority of the rest are making excuses for why they will support that man.

 

That middle paragraph matches my HS experience, though mine was over 50 years ago and the terminology was far less explicit - brag talk by adolescent boys trying to act like their concept of men. One hopes a presidential candidate has progressed beyond adolescence.

And relating to pro locker rooms and military barracks, I recall a comment by Jerry Kramer (former Packer lineman) in his "Instant Reply", circa 1968, that such conversation - locker room and practice field alike - resembled that in a typical army barracks, so Kramer omitted all the (abundant) vulgarities except where he thought such were needed to carry the story. (Which he seldom thought necessary.)

Anyway, does she (and ultimately obama) not bear responsibility for the lack of security under threatening conditions at Benghazi? And maybe its been a while since I said it plainly, but I want to cast the most meaningful vote against here--, uh, her. And there's only one choice for that.

 

When you get in a position to charge her, do so. Otherwise you're just bearing false witness because you don't like the Clintons.

What you do is proudly brag of your sin of idolatry as you forgo your devotion to Christ FIRST in your quest to "cast the most meaningful vote against her".

 

I going by the reports and the accusations made by the families of the victims is "bearing false witness," I think everybody who posts about politics is bearing false witness... especially you, with all your accusations against Trump and most other posters here.

Moderators: this guy said I bear false witness, but his posts saying thus is still here, unlike mine in another thread in which I said the same thing in plainer language. Explain that if you will.

If anti-something/someone is idolatry, then who was guilty of it? Elijah, with his mocking Baal on Mount Carmel and then having Baal's prophets killed. David, with all his boasting about how much he hates his enemies, the Philistines and others. And Jesus, who called Herod a b--, uh, a female fox.
