    From the Christian Times:

Election officials in Franklin County, Ohio are reportedly stumped over what one maintenance worker found in a dilapidated downtown Columbus warehouse earlier this week.

According to sources, Randall Prince, a Columbus-area electrical worker, was doing a routine check of his companies wiring and electrical systems when he stumbled across approximately one dozen black, sealed ballot boxes filled with thousands of Franklin County votes for Hillary Clinton and other Democrat candidates.

Hmmm, no wonder Clinton does not see a need to be in that state. Which other state is it she has abandoned?

Sounded rather made up to me. SO with a little digging, guess what I found?

    SNOPES

    Claim:
Thousands of pre-marked ballots for Hillary Clinton and other Democratic candidates were found in a warehouse in Ohio.

Example: [Collected via E-mail, September 2016]

In Franklin County, Ohio, is it true that tens of thousands of fraudulent ballots were found for Hillary Clinton and other democrats inside sealed ballot boxes?

Origin:On 30 September 2016, the Christian Times Newspaper (CTN) web site published an article reporting that "tens of thousands" of pre-marked ballots cast for Hillary Clinton and other Democratic candidates had been discovered stored in an Ohio warehouse:

Election officials in Franklin County, Ohio are reportedly stumped over what one maintenance worker found in a dilapidated downtown Columbus warehouse earlier this week.

According to sources, Randall Prince, a Columbus-area electrical worker, was doing a routine check of his companies wiring and electrical systems when he stumbled across approximately one dozen black, sealed ballot boxes filled with thousands of Franklin County votes for Hillary Clinton and other Democrat candidates.

Clinton campaign’s likely goal was to slip the fake ballot boxes in with the real ballot boxes when they went to official election judges on November 8th.

There is no truth to the above-quoted story.

Christian Times Newspaper's report described the above-displayed photograph as showing "Randall Prince" with his discovery of pre-marked Clinton ballots, but this picture was actually taken in 2015 in Birmingham, England, and simply captures a man unloading a truck of ballot boxes at a polling station. It appears that CTN altered the photograph (removing "Ballot Box" from some of the boxes and reversing the image) in an apparent attempt to make it difficult to find the original picture:

Although CTN presents itself as a legitimate publication (by imitating the name of the genuine Christian Times newspaper), the web site has invented and promoted numerous conspiracy theories, including false stories reporting that Donald Trump was removed from primary ballots, that Clinton said "Harambe" was a victim of racism, that an African-American Trump supporter was killed in Chicago, and that the 4th of July had been cancelled due to fears of terrorism.

While the web site does not explicitly label their content as fiction, they do carry a disclaimer exempting themselves from responsibility for their efforts:

You guys are a bunch of killjoys...Sad, really.

What was your first clue that it was a fake story? The assertion that the boxes of ballots was found in a warehouse even though the picture is clearly inside the trailer of a semi? Or the fact the words "Ballot Box" are printed on the boxes at a straight-on view even though the boxes are angled? How about the fact that the boxes with no lettering on them appear to have badly color-matched smeared areas on them? The fact that the word on the box the guy is holding starts with a "T", not a "B", indicating that the image has been mirror-reversed?

From the article that Baptist Believer posted, as to why this scenario is highly unlikely:

The Board of Elections also has several security measures in place to help uphold the integrity of the electoral process:

    • The computer system used to create the ballot and tabulate results is not connected to an
outside network and thus is not vulnerable to outside intrusion.
    • Each ballot storage vault is maintained under a double lock requiring a Democrat and
      Republican to simultaneously unlock.
    • A double lock system is used to secure the Vote Center and must be unlocked by a Democrat
      and Republican simultaneously.
    • Both parties are required to sign a chain of custody for all mailed ballots delivered to or picked
      up from the USPS.
    • Access to sensitive ballot storage areas are secured by keys that are maintained in storage
      containers requiring palm scan access.
    • Votes are recorded in three ways (1) in a hard drive within the voting machine, (2) on the
removable voting machine data card, and (3) on a paper tape inside the voting machine.
    • When the vote is counted, it’s done in a public setting which can be observed by parties, any
campaign, the media, and the public.

My first notion that it was fake was the fact that so many places are now using electronic voting machines and not the old scantron looking ballots. Not to mention that I don't think they even still use the paper ballots in that county any more except for absentee voting or early voting and those CLEARLY read as such.

    Not at all.

I imagine we're going to see a lot of this sort of thing in 2017.
