    Statement of Salvation:
I read the Bible one night and figured I'd do what it said. I called out to Jesus and He Answered. Now I'm His (although I'm horribly imperfect much of the time)

OldTime Mountain Music from the 1900s gets me goin'! So does Bluegrass and pre-90s Country!
I'm fairly new to the Baptist denomination (2 years or so). I'm a 22 year old male and was Born Again in my dorm room one night. Long story short something happened with my Papa and I wanted to find out why God did that so I picked up a NKJV Bible in Walmart one day based off a weird feeling. I read the Gospel, and realized I had never heard it before and I figured that I'd try to pray to the God that the Gospel spoke about. I said I believed in Christ and confessed my Sins to God and once I did that I sort of got really happy inside for some reason. I've never been the same since, EVERYTHING about me changed over time. It was kind of scary in fact...I now know that's called being Born Again (I think?).

I never heard a preacher or evangelist (didn't know what they were. I had heard of "Fathers" before because of Catholic family members, but that was it). I had no idea what being a Christian was and my only guide was that Bible I bought at Walmart. So I read the Bible for a year and developed my own "Theology" as I read through it. I came to find out I match up best with Baptists.

So now this sorry 'ol, lowdown dog of a Sinner, Saved by God's Grace is a lone Baptist in a large extended family of 100+ Catholics/Atheists. They all think I'm a bit weird ("Why do you spend more time at Church on Sunday than with us?!"), but we are God's peculiar people after all, right? I've been trying to get them all to head to a local Church with me. I don't care if it's Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Pentecostal, etc... so long as the basic steps to Salvation are preached Biblically. My view is as long as they get the Gospel first, we can argue over doctrine later. So...that's my story, and I'm stickin' to it!

Fundamental Baptist that attends a Free Will Baptist Church and enjoys Primitive Baptist/Old Regular Baptist Hymns.

If you Believe on Christ, have been Born Again, and believe in the Sufficency of Scripture we're family, regardless of Denominational differences.
