I'm really surprised that this great University wasn't on your list of schools. This is a Christian University in Phoenix AZ. I almost got my Masters Degree in Christian Counseling, but my finances wasn't working for me. Still I love this school, and I can't say anything bad about it besides the cost. I was going to school online even though I lived right down the street from campus. Has anybody else gone to this school, or do you have any thoughts about it? Have you even heard of it?

I am enrolled as a student in the online Master of Science in Professional Counseling. I start my first online class tomorrow. I do have to say that the admissions process was really easy/simple...it seems almost too good to be true that I was admitted to the program so easily....

They allow same sex students and give them benefits.

You probably meant to say couples instead of students.

Yeah, employees would be a better word.

In lawyers in the house? Would their for profit status leave them open to lawsuits in a way that a private institution wouldn't face?

    https://news.gcu.edu/2015/11/same-sex-marriage-employee-benefits-2/

"The University’s decision to extend benefits has been made freely and without compulsion by the state. The University has voluntarily chosen to extend benefits as a way of demonstrating grace and compassion toward individuals and families that are affected by our decision. This decision should be interpreted as an act of good faith toward employees and their families whom the University does not view as pawns in the current cultural conflict. Rather, they are human beings who are loved by their Creator and worthy of the same value and dignity that we extend to others regardless of their personal values and convictions."

Aren't all students same-sex, except for transgendered ones? ;)

GNC will now offer every Wednesday at 8am a van in front of the Library to take any students to the local abortion clinic, and will give them a ride back to the school when the execution is over.

We strongly feel that abortion is murder, and is against Biblical principles, but the government has determined it is legal, and this is why we will offer this service.

I think that should have been GCU and not GNC

Interesting. Apparently this Jason Hiles is a refugee from the Calvinist purge at Louisiana College several years ago?:

Its doubtful anyone will take them, or their graduates, seriously for a while. Their faculty is abysmal.

Even when you read their "accreditation page" on their website, its full of double-speak and general language that provides little specifics.

Uh, GCU has been around since 1949 and accredited since 1968.
What "double speak" do you see in, "The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and its predecessor have accredited GCU continually since 1968. GCU obtained its most recent 10-year reaccreditation in 2007?" It seems pretty straight forward to me.

The United States Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation recognize the Higher Learning Commission as the assigned regional accrediting organization. It used to be called the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA).

That is the best accreditation you can get.

I always get a kick out of this kind of marketing piece.

None of that makes GCU's seminary different. One could easily find a replication of every one of those points.

Apart from the intentionally interdenominational angle, Liberty University's School of Divinity has all of the things mentioned, and even Liberty has an interdenominational student base.
