We often teach and preach that God sees no difference in our sins.

Would you agree with Pastor Aaron Gray

Sins are manifestations of a sinful nature. I believe there is a difference between Sin and acts of sin (Sin being our sinfulness). Anyway, I agree with pastor Gray, if for no other reason but Scripture teaching that all sins - while equally showing us a separation from God - are not equal. I believe this obvious in our daily lives (we do not consider speeding or telling a lie equal to murder, although both are sins).

He is exactly right and he has provided the scripture to prove it. There is no scripture that suggests God sees no difference in sins.

Denying that Jesus is the Messiah/Lord FAR more grievious a sin than someone getting a speeding ticket!

Jesus answered, "You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a "greater" sin." John 19:11 Every kind of wrongdoing is sin, yet there are sins that do not lead to death.1 John 5:17

Paul also stated that while all sins are bad to commit, especially bad ones for believers to do are the sexual ones, so God did qualify some as worse than others!

This all depends on what you all mean by "worse".

Sins can be different - or worse - in terms of the consequences one pays for it. If a man fantasizes about a woman that is not his wife - it's possible no one on this earth will no about it and on this earth, he will never pay a price for it. But it is still a terrible sin. If he acts on that fantasy, his family is torn apart and his wife and children along with others are damaged and suffer for it.

Sins can be different - or worse - in terms of how we, as humans, view the severity of the act. We tend to view child abusers as "worse people" than those who tell lies. We do that because we view the harm done as not equitable.

Paul said that sins of a sexual natures - ALL sexual sins - are different - but he didn't say worse - because we sin against the temple of God (the body) and that all other sins are outside the body.

But sins are the same in that all sin separates us from God. It doesn't matter if you have murdered children or stolen $100 from your corporation. Those acts - both sinful - are indicative of the fact that you are a sinner and if not covered by the blood of Christ - both sins are equal in being the reason you go to hell. You aren't cut any slack with God for "lesser" sins. God doesn't look at a lost person and say, "Well, at least he's not Hitler." We all pay the same penalty - the wages of sin is death - for our sin.

And sin is the same in that there in NO sin that God will not forgive a contrite and repentant heart of. Those who acknowledge and confess their sin - the child abuser and the gossip - these will be equally forgiven.

All sins are equal in that:
    1. they break the law of God (1John 3:4)
    2. they are against God and his holiness. ("against thee and thee alone have I sinned," David said in Psalm 51).

All sins are not equal in that different sins have different consequences.

I think that Scarlot's and DHK's post provide the correct balance.

The smallest sin proves the individual to be a sinner.

It's not the gravity of the sin but the fact that one is a sinner that condemns and has an eternal consequence.

ANY sin gets one to need to have Jesus death to atone for them, but God will indeed judge individual sins in a different light of bad to worse...
