    The social discoveries made during recess ....


    Today we were picking teams for kickball. One boy, a team captain, started his pick with a girl.


    His friend was aghast and said, "You picked a GIRL!!"


    The 9-year-old team captain turned and put both of his hands on the shoulders of the shocked boy, shook him a little, and said with extreme urgency - "It's OK man, I'm alright with it. They're human beings - they're people!"

    Frankly, they fuss so much about which blade of grass is second base and which wood chip is home plate that they never get around to keeping score .... LOL!
