Do any of you notice that MOST websites require you to enter your 3 digit security code found on the back of your Debit/Credit Cards when making a purchase online or donating money? This is setting the stage for the coming Tribulation and the anti-christ whom will mandate everyone to get his number 666, and those without the number will not be able to buy or sell. 3 digit debit/CC codes was not required online just 5 years ago,and things have already changed. I think its very important to not only be in the word when studying Biblical prophecy but also to be looking at the news, and doing research online. The day is coming and the rapture of the church is next!

First it was the social security number, then it was credit card numbers, then it was the UPC code, then it was implantable chips, now it's the three digit security code on the back of debit cards. What's next?

Amazing, simply amazing what people will try to tie the tribulation to when it comes to numbers.

Hmmm, how about military serial numbers. I bet they predated Social Security.

There are some credit cards that require a 4 digit security code. That kinda blows the theory does it not?

The 3 digit code provides an interesting possibility however it fails. The code is not unique to the person, just the card. So anyone can use the card to buy and does not really impact the person in any real way. Plus, the Bible does specify the mark to be on the forehead or right arm...per Rev 13:16.17

I trust the teachings of John MacArthur & David Jeremiah in these areas. They have done with homework and know what they are taking about.

True, but what if buying online requires the code 666 for the security and each code was tied to the persons account?

MacArthur recently did a study on Revelation and mentioned this one. he has written many books, and commentaries. He knows what he is talking about.

If MacArthur said that CCV code has anything to do with the anti-Christ or the tribulation then he is an idiot.

Brother, you are taking the "666" idea way too literally - as do countless masses of people.

    Seriously.

CCV numbers have NOTHING to do with the antichrist. To think it does is kind of laughable - but sad at the same time.

I think people have WAY too much time on their hands.

    Ugh, over realized dispensational eschatology...

Revelation is an apocalyptic text that uses typology and allusions to literature and cultural images and figures that were understand to its original first century context. Numbers in Revelation are almost always figurative. In this example 666 probably is an allusion to Nero who had persecuted Christians. It doesn't mean we should search under every rock and behind every tree for someone or something which adds up to 666.

    Seriously,

    1. This is pointless fear-mongering...Even if what you say is true, what difference does it make for our life and godliness at all? Is there some way that I should be Obeying Christ more or differently now that I know this "important" information?

    2. There are ZERO bible teachers who are always right...ZERO. Even the good ones. Blind faith in any bible teacher will lead you to dangerous places.

If he said it then he is an idiot. It's that simple.

I wonder how many folk like MacArthur and others are like many politicians and simply say things attempting to get publicity.

I don't know if I would go as far as using the word 'idiot,' but would be very surprised if he actually said this.
