John C still waiting for your reply in the Metzger thread. Anyways reading a book tonight (well a book I started more than a year ago that have not finished) and in the present chapter the author has been talking about ways into the occult. He has mentioned drugs and that many on LSD and other drugs see things similar to what a Hindu Mystic would see. I have met people that have been high on drugs and have told me what they saw. A devil riding on a motorcycle, a dead person talking with them, among other terrible signs. Actually many years ago when I was a Weslyian I had a terrible experience one night and heard some terrible things. Usually people dismiss them as being crazy, but perhaps they are not, its just the drugs allowed them to gain access to the spirit world.

This author has written books on spiritual warfare and seems to know his stuff on this subject. A thread recently claimed that meeting demon possessed people was not possible, however it is. Do not believe me? Then read this book that I am reading and read of stories. The author did not make these up. Get the book.

Satan's Evangelistic Strategy for this New Age

Ever spoken to someone high on drugs whom claims to have met a devil? What about Bruce Lee whom was not high on drugs but involved in a cult. The film Dragon showed his experience with a certain devil. Was he crazy? The devils are real.

The mind is definitely a "gate." Alter the mind, lower the gate. The native American people believed that herbal concoctions opened the gate to the spirit world.

It's the combination of being high and playing D&D all while Ghostbusters is on the TV.

One of my soldiers in Hawaii was picked up while high. He said he saw his pants walking across the parking lot. I don't think he was seeing anything in the spirit world.

I think we should also remember that the accounts of people on drugs are not something we should put a lot of stock in. Here's a first hand story that is relevant.

When I was younger, and unsaved, I was heavily into drugs. One night we decided to go down to a place everyone called "ghost light road". It was said that if you parked in the middle of this dirt road in the middle of nowhere that out of the darkness a light would approach your vehicle. This light was supposed to be the "ghost" headlight of some guy on a motorcycle that died on the road.

So, we headed down there, high on pot and tripping on acid and sat in the bed of the truck in the middle of this dirt road. Sure enough about 20 minutes in a light could be seen in the distance and it appeared to come almost on top of us and then just vanished. Freaked us out BIG TIME and we drove out of there very quickly.

I went back about 2 weeks later sober to check it out again. Saw the same light but was then able to deduce that the light came from another road that ran straight at this dirt road and then veered away. There were some other tricks of light involved (but all logical).

The point? Don't trust stories you hear from people on drugs.

I use to do LSD quite a bit, and I often had mystical experiences, ironically my experiences lead me to a new age type religion.

my experiences were different in that It was not that I saw things that were not there, but on a handful of different occasions I spoke to friends who were demon possessed, these demons pretended to be God and spoke to me though my friends,I've had friends read my mind, one time I was being tormented by a demon on drugs, I was trying to open a cabinet to get a cup for water and there was a supernatural power keeping it closed.

I once met a man on LSD, who claimed to be a prophet, he had one eye a different color and told me that he sees things differently than most people, he told me "don't be so hard on yourself with drugs, just know your limits" he also told me that if you commit suicide people don't respect you in heaven" (at this time I was lost and would have gone to hell) this man was reading my mind and I thought I was talking to God himself, I even told this stranger that I loved him.

Typically demons on drugs acts in one of two ways:

    1. They play with your conscience and make you feel horrible and want to kill yourself because you are so wicked, these are what many people refer to as a "bad trip", I had a few of these where demons caused me to think that because I was so wicked and evil, that the only way to get to heaven is to kill myself because. very messed up thinking.

    or

    2. they present their supernatural powers and present themselves as God, this leads many people into new age.

Drugs are absolutely a gateway into the Spirit world, my experiences in the drug culture psychedelic world were what caused me to believe in something divine, because I've seen things that cannot possibly be explained by the natural realm, fortunately for me Christ saved me and changed my life, but many are lead down this demonic path.

    it's real.

My experience on LSD was to laugh like a fool for six hours, see colors and vibrations in the air, have super Brother Curtis type strength. I could perform the obstacle course in way less time than normal, if I could deal with the squirrels and spiders being able to peer into my soul while I did it. I would think music was God, and if we turned to it there could truly be world peace. I pondered for hours the record jackets of my favorite bands, and watched patters arise & disappear in the stucco ceiling I had in my dorm. And yes, the lava lamp. Then, I would cling to my bed for 8-10 hours while my mind tried to settle it'self.

    Spirits ? Never saw them.

But I do see the stupidity in what I was doing. I wasted a lot of hours on that drug.

Wow. Scary experiences Jordan thanks for sharing. There are dangerous drugs and safe drugs (such as those meant for real medical problems). I believe every bit of your story, but obviously there are those on this board that do not and do not take these accounts seriously. I had two cousins that did this kind of thing and one tried to commit suicide (although he professed faith in Christ at one time) and the other claimed to see devils and he also professed faith. No doubt these kinds of drugs are real dangerous.

How do the you keep demons away from people that have medical drugs? Do the demons know that people on medical drugs are off limits? So a person prescribed opiates is safe from demons, yet a person illegally taking opiates is fair game?

OR, maybe taking these drugs makes you paranoid and delusional. Then, in your paranoia, and with your brain laid bare to making connections that are never connected when sober (or awake), your mind starts pulling terrifying thoughts out of the recesses of your subconscious and constructing "demons".

But that doesn't fit with the mindset of "I want to believe", to paraphrase an "X-Files" mantra....

Opiates at low doses has very different effect than on someone who is abusing them at high doses.

for example DXM is a cough suppressant found in many cough syrups, at low doses it has very minor affects, at high doses it becomes a dissociative and has more psychedelic and recreational effects.

God does not protect people who are using drugs as a form of idolatry and sensual pleasure, people who do this give demons a right into their lives, this is way different from someone seeking medical help.

Having done so myself people use all sorts of drugs and see all sorts of things. Just because they hallucinate does not mean it is automatically tied to the "spirit world", or dmeonic activity. It is ussually hust because the brain is hallucinating. Nothing but a chemical reaction in the brain. Seeing weird stuff does not make it demonic. We need to stop looking for a boogyman under every rock.

People who are looking for demons behind every door will generally find them.

Yup. LSD makes you examine yourself, that's for sure. Every bad thing you ever did comes to you. If you are a stable person, you will get through the experience unscathed, it is not addicting, and no long-term effect will haunt you, after 30 hours you will be as good as new !!!!

But if you are an unstable person, you will need to be babysat, because you will think you can fly, or drink lighter fluid. I have had to babysit a few of these back in y day. AN UNSTABLE PERSON CAN DO A WHOLE BUNCH OF DAMAGE TO HIMSELF AND OTHERS WHILE ON THIS DRUG.

First time I ever took Lortabs was after major back surgery (I was saved at this point); sitting on the couch after having taken the pain meds, watching the TV but not really seeing what was on it ... and one of those Brinks home security commercials came on, with the digital 1's and 0's crawling over the walls of the house in the commercial (supposed to emphasize how they're keeping your home safe with the latest technology) ... all I know is, those 1's and 0's sliding all over the place tripped me out. Told the wife I was going to bed, and managed to make it to the bedroom without falling over....

Shamans use drugs to access the spirit world.

Also the Greek word for Sorcery is the word Pharmekeia, where we get out word Pharmaceutical.

There is no doubt in my mind that mind altering drugs are connected to Satanic spirits.

There will always be those who try to explain away the supernatural with naturalistic explanations.

Yes drugs have chemicals that make you hallucinate, but I have a really hard time believing that there is no spiritual connection, I mean think about when Saul was troubled by the evil spirit and david played the harp for him, you can try and explain it by saying it was purely just the chemicals from the music, at the very least this shows that even if something can be explained by a physical process it can still have spiritual influences behind it.

One of the prime times for a demon to interact with someone is when they are made vulnerable by drug use, especially of the psychedelic sort.

Given: Barney is a CUTE PURPLE DINOSAUR
    Prove: Barney is satanic

The Romans had no letter 'U', and used 'V' instead for
printing, meaning the Roman representation would for
Barney would be: CVTE PVRPLE DINOSAVR

    CVTE PVRPLE DINOSAVR

Extracting the Roman numerals, we have:
    CV V L DI V

    And their decimal equivalents are:
    100 5 5 50 500 1 5

    Adding those numbers produces: 666.

666 is the number of the Beast.
    Proved: BARNEY IS SATAN!
