My favorite ones change all the time! I call my camera my baby...it's probably considered junk by most serious photographers, but I fell in love with it and had no problem using it to sell professional work from, so until it breaks, I'm keeping it.

My newest fave is of a painted lady butterfly. If someone can tell me how to post a clickable thumbnail on here, I'd appreciate it! In the meantime, you can see the butterfly pic on my blog. Look on the right hand side, to the right of the photo slideshow. If you click it, it will take you to where it's being hosted on picasa, then you can click it there to see it bigger. http://www.literaryworks.blogspot.com

I'd sure love to see some favorite photos you guys and gals have taken. Time to share! :flower:

That's very pretty Gwen. I love the flowers all over in AK summertime!

I'm a bit surprised at the lack of response on this thread. I'd have thought a lot more people got into photography!

Here is one of the Big Blue Heron statue in Quiet Waters Park in our town. There is a 4 mile + walking trail that wanders through beautiful forest and field. Gee, how do I make it the photo smaller? Thanks for starting the thread Gina.

Me, too! I see lots of pretty pics of facebook, so I know people have 'em!

Gorgeous photo, Crabtownboy! I don't know which site you use for photos, but with Flickr there is a button at the top of the photo that you can click to get different sizes to post.

    My current favorite....

Connor was born on March 16th. Aaron - Connor's father - is our middle son. Connor was about 14 hours old when this picture was taken. Three days later his Dad returned to his Army unit in Kuwait.

Reminds me of one of my all time favorites that I took sometime after my youngest son was born. Very nice.

That one from Budapest on top is really pretty from what I can see of it.

Looks like you're found your way to some cool places in this world!

madre and I are very fortunate to spend a great deal of time with our grandson. We know that will change when Connor's Daddy gets home from the war, but in the meanwhile....

    Castle in Romania

Just a note on Budapest picture, that is the Danube dividing Buda [foreground] from Pest [Pesht]. The domed building by the river is the parliament from the old Austro-Hungarian Empire.

    A castle in Romania:

Feel free to send some to me if you know how to email them!

On my blog, there is a running slideshow of photos, and anyone who wants can click on that...it should take you to my picasa web album where you can see all the pics in the public album called "My Photography" (the only public one besides that one that only has that butterfly pic). I add more on occasion. I forgot they were having a photo contest for the zoo or I'd have gone back and took some better ones to enter, but still, there's a few cool ones I took at the zoo. We love animals around here!

Ok. I know it's huge. I don't know how to get it smaller. I took this last summer of a Hummingbird Moth. He is actually only about 1 inch long. I used my zoom to capture him. It took quite awhile because he wouldn't be still. LOL

That is so neat Amy! I've never even heard of those.

Here's a link to one of my Picasa web albums. The newest photos are last.

The ones of the mom and baby peahen are very poor quality, but neat in that you can see the baby shortly after hatching and now see how it has grown.

My new favorite one is of the Passion Butterfly. I thought that butterfly was just GORGEOUS!

I took this one at the butterfly rainforest in UF in gainesville. I'd forgotten my camera so I took this on my cell phone which with all of it's photographic limitations turned out to be a pretty good little device in a pinch.

This was a polaroid I took of my second son at about 9 months in 1975
He was "kissing the baby in the mirror". And still in love with himself!
