I trust the church I am attending will soon have something - even if I need to lead it.

We do not and have not for many years. Instead we have small groups that meet in the homes during the week and classes (almost like Sunday school classes) on Wednesday night.

Sunday after church is our Sabbath. It is a nice time to spend with family and enjoy the day that the Lord made for us. :)

Our Sabbath includes the church services; we worship the Lord together as a family morning and evening.

No, we have visitation on Saturdays. We're IFB, not Seventh Day Baptist.

Not sure why you didn't address the question to Annsni, who introduced into the thread the word you want to quibble about?

We have an adult Bible study and the students have a Bible study on most Sunday nights except holidays and between Christmas and New Years.

We don't have any services or formal programming on Sunday evenings. Instead we ask our families to spend time together or, if they wish, in their off campus groups. We've never had Sunday evening so it works really well for us. :)

We have service on Sunday nights except for a few select holidays (Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Easter, Christmas). We also do not have service the last Sunday night of every month, as we use that time to visit and help support our sister churches in the area. Most of the churches around have similar set-ups. It increases our fellowship with other churches and strengthens bonds.

 Where would you visit if the sister churches also cancel services on the last Sunday?

Or do y'all coordinate the church closings throughout the month?

Listen, in principal I maintain that a second service in the evening is good so that people who could not make a morning service can also have a public church service. I object to it being mandatory however. Our Savior can be worshiped anywhere & at anytime ....hopefully daily.....and privately if necessary.

    Praise Him always!

Several of the churches have coordinated their night services. Some have done away with them altogether. Sometimes we don't visit another church, but we'll maybe have a dinner at a church member's house, or a prayer meeting or bible study. Sometimes that evening is just a time to unwind and rest up for the week to come.

7DB are also independent - oh that's on another thread.

Could be I didn't scroll that far down and didn't see it.
Therefore I have started a new poll

Interesting concept - One major question - if someone shows up at your church on the night you are fellowshipping elsewhere....... or do you publicize that on your church website, signs, literature, ect?

It is announced and on the outside sign. The holiday services are not mentioned on the sign, but they are announced.

Once in a while, I may visit a church that might be having something special, but I have appreciated not going and doing family stuff for a long time.
