How can people be stupid enough to fall for this jabberwocky when we are not even smart enough to know what he is talking about?

I read the whole thing and it sound like the literary rambles of one under the influence. [IMG]

I sat under a professor at Chicago like that, and he was the declared father of modernism or liberal theology. We all went away befuddled and amused at the same time. We wrote examinations based on what we read in books and not from his lectures. He was the famous Paul Johannes Tillich. His main work was a 3 volume Systematic Theology. It is the heart of German rationalism and existentialism and basically ontology. My thesis was a Barthian Critique of Schleirmacher.(you could put Tillich in there.)

    Cheers,

    Jim

The problem a lot of Christians make is thinking that spiritual deception is the same as intellectual deception. It is not.

I remember the Harmonic Convergence and though I didn't buy into it completely, I thought it signified something unique and special (I was an astrologer and New Ager at the time). In fact, my husband and I traveled to a mini-Stonehenge outside Athens, GA for the Harmonic Convergence and met up with others who came. We met at dawn and meditated.

When Christians say, "how can people be so stupid," they need to realize that it is only by the grace of God they may not be believing in astrology, Buddhism, the Mormon beliefs, etc.

And I have seen many Christians fall for a lot of New Age stuff that has got into the church, so you all shouldn't be laughing so hard. In fact, I've seen Christians believe in stuff I didn't even believe when I was a New Ager.
