What percentage of those issues resulted in a moral or ethical outcome?

Then you OP makes no sense as it uses the word issues in the quote.

    So the question stands?

I see you're as smart as ever. Issues are what the wars settle. To say issues have outcomes, positive or negative, is nonsense. Wars have outcomes.

Of course not. But the quote is awesome. And sure enough true.

    Just ask the IRS.

I would say that violence and naked force has ended more conflicts in human history. I'm not sure the issues disappear once the war is over.

I am a great fan of TANSTAAFL. Even though Starship Troopers is very fascist, there are some interesting core ideas.....the idea of service to the nation guarantees citizenship, even the stated .....violence etc is after all, correct to a degree but it has been pointed out...war does not make fundamental issues dissolve . Heinlein developed the neofascist state in being supplanted by theocratic state, which was even more repressive of freedom of speech and other illusions.

They had a one world government, true, however, it was still a society that rewarded hard work, had classes, encouraged competition, had overcome racism and sexism, and people were capitalists.

Yes, Bro Curtis...the ideas were thought provoking at least for me, my ideal world would certainly reward the worthy, but I would like to eliminate true poverty and the evils associated...poor health care, lack of education and dignified employment...which ultimately foments civil unrest. Naive perhaps?
