Speaking of statistics. Deadspin is taking on a pretty ambitious project with regards to police shootings in the last three years (I think). They are in the list compiling stage now using multiple databases and FOIA requests. The long and tedious part will be the fact checking and vetting of sources. Should be worth a revisit if they pull it off.

I don't care what you do, Matt. But whatever you do decide to do, you will never convince me black music is more violent. All that's missing from my songs are the curse words. Same attitude. Same themes. Violence has been a part of music since there has been music.

Absolutely. And this is where things start to get dicey. If it can be shown that Blacks are being shot and killed in situations in which their White counterparts are not, then it could possibly open the door for a discrimination lawsuit. If the prima facie evidence shows a disparate impact to Blacks, the Justice Department should respond.

It's kinda like the example I used a few weeks ago with crack and powder cocaine. There was a disproportionate amount of Blacks being locked up and locked up for much longer sentences than their white counterparts who used cocaine.

 

Ain't it sad? But I'm beginning to think some of them don't care. They're mad about Obama. And that anger has made them mad about any and all things Black.

But gosh darn. They sure do love Jesus.
