WASHINGTON – Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul's past statements are coming back to haunt him – and this time it's about the US' role in ending World War 2 and the Holocaust.

Following a controversial revelation by a former aide to the congressman, saying that Paul "wishes Israel didn't exist," another blogger said Tuesday that in 2009 Paul went on the record as saying that if he were the president of the United States during WWII he "wouldn't have risked American lives to end the Holocaust."

His extreme Isolationist foreign policy outshines his fiscal policies in my opinion.

The Krauts declared war on the United States-----I think(can't quote me on it)---less than a month after Tojo bombed Pearl

I guess Paul would have just let Hitler and Tojo come on over here and take over

The exact date was 11 Dec 41 - just 4 days after Japan bombed Peal Harbor.

"I asked Congressman Paul: If he were president of the United States during World War II would he have sent American troops to Nazi Germany to save the Jews? And the Congressman answered: No, I wouldn't."

    The article is hearsay.

Never thought of it that way, but I suppose anything printed without corroboration could be considered hearsay. Now, if this interviewer was asking the question of Paul and he had witnesses, it would not be hearsay.

The US sent troops to Europe in WW2 to save England, not the Jews. The US turned down a cruise ship of Jews who ended up back in the death camps because no nation wanted them to land.

About 1000 Jews were housed at Ft Ontario, located in Oswego, NY beginning in 1944

The SS Navemar brought 1120 Jewish refugees to the US in 1941.

FYI The St Louis was also turned away by Cuba and Canada.

These too, Brother David!! These, too!!!

But don't get me wrong when I say this------more that "saving" the British Empire(they themselves will still swear to this day they didn't need any help from the US in defeating the Krauts!!) ----- US Troops were sent to Europe for the same reason they were already fighting in the South Pacific----and that was for the sole purpose of

THE TOTAL DEFEAT OF ALL ENEMY FORCES!!!!! Both in the ETO and PTO!! And stretching literally to the 4 corners of the world!!

    >>I wish the nation of Israel didn't exist.

    >and why is that?

Because the world might be a safer place. There is no reason it might be more dangerous.

In 1947 there were more Jews in Brooklyn, NY than in Europe. The rabbis in the US opposed the creation of the nation. Yes, once it was created they wanted to run the show . . . but not before.

So I suppose that small promise that the Lord God almighty made some 5,000 years ago doesn't mean anything.....

And that is the whole point, isn't it. The only thing that can justify the creation of the state of Israel and the manner it took possession is Divine Right. Otherwise, it was a simple matter of ethnic cleansing backed by the might and money of the U.S.

God's promise to Abraham is fulfilled in Christ. Those of faith, as it has always been, are the seed of Abraham.

After the Jewish Bolshevik takeover of Russia in 1918 and several other Jewish Communist revolts in Europe, the Jews were widely viewed throughout Europe as dangerous troublemaking revolutionaries, no one wanted them. This is why why Hitler had lots of cooperation from occupied countries in rounding them up and shipping them off.
