    In the Salt City, when the city takes possession of a past due tax home, it is turned over to the land bank for re-sale.

    Currently the City has a new program; Teachers, Policemen and Fireman will be able to purchase Land bank homes at one-half of the listed price.

    The reason for this is that under NY State law, those professions are not required to live within the city limits. This program will encourage these employees to move into the City.
