I tried to be gentle and kind but the man admits to being gay, says repentance is not necessary, sin is not real, the gospel is all social and ethical... So sad... I told him this is not a secondary issue but an attack on the essentials of the faith. He told me my gospel tracts were embarrassing and not right. I sent him tracts that hit on the gospel.

The progressives are worse than the charismatics!! So sad. Perhaps I should not call anymore churches but let them call me but continue to write letters.

I sent him a tract by a CAlvinist by John Piper and a tract by an aminian ministry and they both hit the basic gospel.

Without Jesus, is it really a church?

Jesus to them is a social and moral one and that is the gospel in their eyes. Progressives are heretics.

Yes, and the progressive social justice doctrine is leading many astray.

In other words he is not a pastor outside of his vocational choice. I'll join you in praying for this person.

There are as many progressive churches in my area as rabbits so they are everywhere. I have allot of letters to write in which I will only preach the gospel and include good gospel tracts. I have allot to use and need to use them.

    "allot" is not a word.

Sorry; my current vocational choice makes me a spelling/grammar/punctuation nazi.

Sadly , this is the way the " churches" are heading. To busy trying to be Politically correct. I take Biblically correct over that any day.

Evan, I know you and I very rarely see eye to eye, and while I may not always (or hardly ever) agree with your methods, I will certainly join you in praying for this so-called church. So many people in positions of authority are leading so many astray. If things are to ever turn around, then it will most definitely take the divine providence of God to do so.

Indeed so indeed so. But you can also join the cause and write letters, telephone, or visit churches in your area also teaching another gospel. Please do not cause division with sound churches on secondary issues (Bible translations, music, eschatology, Cal Vs. Armin), evangelism methods, alcoholic beverages, etc). I have many more to contact. Pray for the lost, thanks..
