My favorite woman pastor is the woman who has the moral integrity to admit that what she's doing is Unbiblical, repents, and steps down from the pastorate.

    AMEN, BROTHER! :D

The one thing I would say differently, is "assumed" pastorate.

Since God does not call women to the pastorate, then the women who claim to be pastors are not called by God. therefore, it is reasonable to know that it would be a calling of Satan, trying to mock God's Will. We should pray for these women, pray that they accept Jesus Christ in their hearts and souls so that they might earnestly follow God's Word.

I think Paula White denies the Trinity; I think she is a Oneness follower.

Most of the best sermons I have haerd in the last ten years were preached by women.

There were preachers in the 1800's who defended slavery using the same basic arguments that your used above.

ROTFL - Yep! This year we "home churched" on our boat trip. We have 6 people in my family and hubby is a pastor so we had the "Set Free Baptist Church" going. :D

Some men don't belong in the pulpit, but they are there.

Thank God for women who believe in the Bible and preach the word in truth.

    Cheers,

    Jim

True...but that doesn't mean women do belong there.

I was half joking. She is a good preacher style wise, but I'm not a fan of a woman being a pastor. I don't think she's oneness though. If you have some evidence I'd like to see it.

You have to cherry pick the Bible to take the position you have taken.

No - there has to be some BIG time twisting and adding in order to take the position that women belong in church leadership.

"Not a Minister, But Blue-Eyed Blonde is Assistant Pastor" Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, March 3, 1946

"A blonde, blue-eyed young woman, who although a graduate of Yale Divinity School, has never been ordained as a minister, has taken over the numerous and detailed duties of assistant pastor of the First Baptist Church, Bellfield avenue and Bayard street.
And as far as she's concerned, she will never become a minister. She has no intentions of taking the final step of ordination, which would qualify her to perform marriages, baptisms and the other duties of a qualified minister.
The asistant pastor is Carol Jean Stifler, who stoutly maintains that she's an old fashioned girl and the pulpit is a place for a man."

don't have any favorite women pastors for the simple reason there is no such animal in the Bible.
Now, in the world, it will be different, of course.

Women are in both the Old and New Testaments. You just don't want them to be there.

On the other hand, moving pictures are definitely not in the NT, but some churches seem to delight in them during worship services. Sunday Schools are not NT, but what would we do without them. Where would missions be without women?

Culture changes daily, maybe we should adjust with those changes, rather than tying to some scriptures that are definitely culture-bound.

    Cheers,

    Jim

I'm really amazed at that response coming from you, Jim. God's Word is abundantly CLEAR on the qualifications for a "pastor", and women do NOT meet that requirement. Your argument is with God. Society accepts homosexual unions, and homosexual clergy, should we adjust to those things now too? After all........
I just don't believe you said that.

"I do not permit the watching of moving pictures" is not in Scripture.

My favorite woman pastor is the woman pastor who repents, resigns, and finds a solid Bible believing church with a real pastor.
