    Good Morning!

Sitting with my mug of coffee cradled against my chest feeling the warmth radiating through my heart to my arms. I savor the aroma anticipating the taste and knowing that today the Lord has given me a fresh start of serving Him. Fellowship with my Mother who is here for a few days; I quietly savor every moment we have together. So, as I start my day may each see Jesus instead of me.

May God bless you today Sherrie!

Good Morning!! (and Good Afternoon, Jon!)

I just caught up on the weekend posts from Coffee Shop #4. We had a busy Saturday with my niece's birthday (she just turned 3) and then going to my wife's mother and step-dad's house for dinner. Both of our boys spent the night there and came home on Sunday afternoon.

Jim, sorry to hear you are leaving us for a while. If you read this please let me know what your Crosswalk screen name is. I joined there before I joined here and I occationally read some of the forums there but I only have posted there one time. I like it here better (at least in the Coffee Shop).

    Good Morning to all. [IMG]

Been real busy all weekend.. We went to an auction on Saturday, got an old antique mirror. Got it for $5 and took it home and my husband stripped the paint off.....it is solid oak, and absolutely beautiful. And only $5! :D Sorry, I love auctions, and most of all I love getting deals like that!

Had a wonderfully blessed Mothers Day. Went to church, was very blessed from the sermon which was about Mothers. Then traveled north to visit with my Mom. The day couldn't have been any better.

The weather here has been nasty. We are under a wind advisory and flood watch. Started late yesterday afternoon. Winds can be pretty brisk at times, 15 - 30mph and rain, rain, RAIN! My daughter was up a few times with it last night, it just howled all night.

Did I hear someone say diet . I haven't shared this with anyone, but since March I've been on one. Since I quit smoking 4 years ago, I have been slowly putting the pounds on. Well when I went to the doctor in March and stepped on the scale, I decided enough was enough!!! I put myself on the Adkins diet. Went to the local Walmart store and got the book. Did the Introduction stage for about 6 weeks, that's no more than 20 carbs a day. It was kind of rough at first, but the further along I went the easier it got. I'm happy to report that I have lost 32 pounds and gaining on my goal!! To me, it has been the easiest diet that I've ever been on. So I will pray for all of you who are deciding to go on a diet! Pray that you too will be able to reach your goal. But please whatever you do, be sure and put Christ right in there with you while your doing it. I had been praying to God that I would start feeling better about myself and knew that I could not do this without Him. Yeah, I got instructions from the Adkins book, but I get my complete direction from Jesus Christ! [IMG]

You all have a great day! And I'll take that cup to go again. Got to run a lot today. The post office, bank, and then the dreaded grocery store. Plus I'm trying to get things in order for my youngest, she turns 11 this Thursday.

    God bless!

Becky Hello! so nice of you to come in to "The Coffee Shop"! Hey glad you get to share time with your Mother. She must not live close by. I hope you have a nice visit.

Rod...HI! Looks like your weekend was very busy. But glad you also had that family time. And glad your wife was up to all the visiting to and fro. Your boys probably had fun too. My kids love going and visiting people.

ED...So sorry you are sick. It must be the change in the weather. I have a headache and my stomach hurts bad. So is it the sinus's that mess with everything, or allergy that messes with everything for you? So where is Betty? Have not heard from her. Not even in here. She is greatly missed.

FYG...What can I say girl, I love auctions! I love yard sales, rummage sales, any kind of sale.

I think the board time has been off for a while, but it seems to be getting worse. I am posting this just before 3:00 CST.

I think we have a chance for rain almost every day this week. I hope we don't get any more tornados with it. I am sure rsr, Ed, and Betty feel they have had more than enough close calls for this year. I am going to try to mow the lawn tonight as soon as I get home to keep it from getting out of hand.

Oops, Betty is logged in, but Ed wrote the message: [IMG]

Wednesday we signed off on my son's condo, we were trying to get it ready for him to live in. Betty picked really neat schemes for all the stuff in the two baths: shower curtians, towel racks, tissue rack, etc. But then Thrusday she got sidetracked with the tornado and again Friday.
Saturday we were trying to clean out his condo
good but i started getting sicky. So then she
had her sunday church organist thing to do
and in the evening the church pianist was
gone so Betty had to pay the piano.
Also on Sunday my son put important things
in his condo like KEYBOARD [IMG]

I've already been to the doctor. I have
pneumonia. He tryed to put me in the
hospital. I talked him out of it, i've
got two days to get myself better or i
still have to go to the hospital.

Sherrie, What do you know of Scots in the Kilt. You surely have not seen how active we can be in the Highland games.
    yours, Jon.

So where is everyone? I had to run some of those last minute, the kids did not say anything, until now, things.

And then I walked another mile on the way home. So I have walked 2 miles now.

Well hello Jon! So wonder where everyone else is. And No, I have not ever seen a highland game.

I've seen a little bit of the highland games on the travel chanel...I like that event where they try to throw the long poll after trying to balance it in an upright position for a bit...what is that called?

Hi Sherrie, How ya doin'? The weather is more like it should be here today. Maybe it'll travel on over to you in a couple of days. If it would stay like this...we wouldn't want to move. But it never does!@#$"Arghrrr" It always gets too hot!

How's the weather where you are?

We from Wales used to say:
"Man in skirt can run faster,
    than man in trousers".
We also used to say "Donald!
    where are your trousers?" [IMG]
a lot, but i never did figure out that
    saying .

In some parts of Georgia, if a man wore a skirt, he better be able to run fast to get away from the mosquitos and other flying varmits.
