WELCOME ONE AND ALL TO THE...

The only "RULE" here is NO fussin' - NO fightin' - NO feudin'!

I will try to be here to serve you; but if not, feel free to help yourself.

First one in every morning puts the coffee and tea on, last one out at night turns the lights off...

We serve donuts, cinnamon toast (dry toast available upon request), crumpets, bagels, scones, croissants, brioche rolls, donuts, yogurt, salads, light lunches, popsicles, ice cream, homemade cookies, homemade cakes, homemade pies, and homemade jams.

We also serve coffee (with/without caffeine), hot chocolate, hot tea, iced tea, fresh squeezed lemonade and orange juice, cappuccino, Mountain Dew, DP, DDP, Coke, Pepsi, Sprite, milk, milkshakes, Kool-Aid, and Carb Options.

If you don't see your drink or food of choice...just ask, we will do our best to stock it for you!

Our aim is to please...come and sit a spell, enjoy the fellowship and come back often!

As Christians, we are ALL on common ground...

    Good morning all!

I hope you like our new, improved, larger Coffee House facility!

It is 27º this morning, with 20-30mph winds and I got up to NO HEAT in the house. [IMG]

The furnace filter was changed last night and the cover that has to touch the micro switch was not put back on securely. It is fixed now, but will take a while to get the house warm.

We are leaving to deliver the papers. The house should be nice and snug when we get back. Especially since we have to stop by the grocery store before we come home.

It is supposed to be down to 8º tonight and I'd rather shop this morning instead of tomorrow morning...

Have a great day all and stay warm!

    Blessings,
    §ue

    Good Morning Everybody,

Sorry I'm late. I went to the old Coffeehouse first and found the doors locked.

My Daughter and former Daughter-in-Law took the Gkids in to have pictures taken. Kids have the day off from school because of President's Day.

Tell you what, Sue, I'll make lunch maybe that'll warm you up a bit. How does this sound? Crisp-and-Creamy Baked Chicken, Cheddar Biscuits, Roasted Vegetables, and Triple-Layer Lemon Pie.

We're still looking for a house, but; with four adults and four kids all living in the same house it's tough finding one with enough space for everybody. Oh well, I know Jesus will provide what we need. We just have to find it.

Rob - I can imagine how hard it is to find a house big enough for you guys! I'll be praying for you!

Alls quiet here. It's raining today so no riding, no school so the kids are all home. Many are still in PJs and I've gotten nothing done so far today. I love days like this! :)

Tonight we'll be taking the 2 big girls for a sleepover and then Bob and I and the kiddies will go out to eat. YUM!! I can't wait - I think I'll skip lunch. ;)

Rob: Thanks for the lunch...it sounds scrumptious and I'm starving! Praying you find a house soon.

Ann: I'm with you! Fortunately, Brent did the papers on his bicycle, so I'm still in my jammies too. :)

Unfortunately, this will not be the case long because I still have to get to the grocery store. :(

Hmmm. Maybe I'd better go now. I have a feeling a nap will be in order after eating Rob's lunch...

It certainly is quiet in here. Did everyone find a new restaurant to patronize? :tear:

It is a frigid 9º this morning with the wind blowing driving the wind chill down even lower. We had more snow last night. The sun is shining right now (I almost didn't recognize it), but more snow is predicted for this afternoon.

Is anyone going to watch the 'total lunar eclipse' tomorrow night? Brent and I will be watching.

He has a home basketball game tonight, so I will be going to that.

    HAGD!

It's not the resturant that's being patronized, it's my sewing skills!

I've put in one zipper this morning and am about to start the second. Then I have a dress to bead, but that'll be tomorrow as I have a dress that needs hemming and tucking to do before that and then there is a second dress that also needs hemming and taking up and a third that also need a zipper, but I have to order one or go to B'ham cause there isn't a zipper local that is in a matching color.

Oh, did I mention that these were all formals? :D

Yesterday I made the kids help me clean. What do you mean they had a day off? I wasn't getting a day off AND I had extras all weekend so I don't know why the kids should have a day off. Hmphf! I really only made them work for two measly hours. You'd have thought though that I had killed them.

I really need to get back to the sewing machine. One of these dresses has to be out by tommorrow evening!

Hey everyone! Sue - I'm still here. Just have been super busy with life. The girls had a sleep over last night - about an hour away from here so DH and I went out with the little ones after we dropped them off. We had dinner then went to the mall. Today I picked them up and got home late so I wasn't able to ride like I wanted to. So instead I'll ride tomorrow.

Oh - we found out that even though my daughter didn't send in an essay, she was accepted to another college - but she hasn't even brought in her portfolio! I have to call tomorrow to make an appointment so she can get that done and then we'll see what kind of scholarships they may offer her. :) We may try to play college against college so that we can get a little more money hopefully! :D

    Good Morning Everybody,

It is 12 degrees and sunny here, with a forecasted high of 20 today. We have a chance of snow every day thru Sunday.

When we find a new house I'm thinking of putting up a sign...
EIGHT IS ENOUGH! Actually if you add the dog and the 4 cats it's a bit more though.

Cuz. please be careful with all the sewing you are doing. Too much can cause a type of dementia know as "Knit-Wit". The symptoms are that you find everything funny and laugh uncontrollably when sewing. There is no known cure for a "Knit-Wit"...you eventually lose all your buttons.

I brought in Eggs, Waffles, Sausage Gravy and Biscuits and cold OJ. Enjoy.

Time to go to grocery shopping and stop at the Pharmacy.

Uh Cuz, I lost all my buttons long ago! It does give me hope that no one seems to have noticed.

Now, on a morning when I need to be in the mood to sew, guess what sort of mood I woke up in? I felt like cooking!

So there is a fresh loaf of banana bread (still warm on the counter) and the cinnamon rolls will be ready in time for the afternoon coffee break. Supper tonight will be pork tenderlion, garlic mashed potatos, and boiled cabbage with strawberry shortcake for dessert.

Yes I said strawberry shortcake. My favorite grocery store had fresh Florida strawberries this morning for $1.98 a pound! Jenna's been wanting some for ages and they've been way to expensive.

Anyhow, I got one dress finished yesterday, and another nearly finished so there is one more zipper to put in today and the rebeading to do. The last dress I think I'll leave till next week while I work on Jenna's Easter dress and a quilt project I want to get started on.

And guess what? My house is still clean! Yay! 3 whole days in a row. :p

    Ya'll have a good day!

PJ, are you going to pay my kids? :D You pay, they'll clean!

In my case, I allowed them to have a friend over for the entire 3 day weekend (Chris), carried one to baseball and basketball (Jenna) and allowed two to participate as models in a local bridal fair (Cass and Jenna) and carried one to work (Cass). Yep, I pay well for my help. :D

Okay three dresses down, one to work on tonight and then I am caught up! I think tonight I'm going to try out a new embroidery design I found to put on the handtowels T uses during karate.

    Good evening all,

I am taking pictures of the total lunar eclipse, every 30 minutes, for Brent. He is in church and I wasn't able to go tonight. I doubt that my cheap little camera will do much good, but he would like to use the pictures for a science project.

BibleBelievingBill had a house fire last night. He and his family were able to get out but they lost all 5 of their pets.

He has a request in the Prayer forum.

Ladies: Please check my thread about it in the Women's Private Forum.

    Time to take another picture.

    Pleasant dreams all!

Sorry to read about Bill's house, but glad that the human family is safe.

Wishing them well as they go on, and God's speed as they grow through this too.

    Cheers, and bless,

    Jim

Good morning Jim! Boy, it sure feels good to be able to type that again! :)

Good morning to the sleepy heads too! LOL

I will be going up to see Bible Believing Bill and his family next week to take him donations from some of the BB members. I'm sure it will be a help and an encouragement to them.

Tanya: Leah is adorable, but she sure doesn't like shopping!

Brent has to be at school at 7:00 on Thursdays for 'Student Convention' practice, so I had to get up early this morning and didn't even get to bed until 2:00. I believe a nap is in order today...

The total lunar eclipse last night was awesome. I took pictures. I hope they turn out. At one point, the moon was red! Kind of scary, considering what the Bible says about the moon turning to blood.

We are expecting 2 to 5 additional inches of snow today and tonight. It is 14º this morning with a wind chill of 1º.

I think oatmeal is on the menu for breakfast. Nothing fancy, just "stick to your ribs" food for this cold weather.

    HAGD!

Tanya, Leah is a cutie! Thanks for sharing that pic with us.

I'm so sorry to hear about BibleBelievingBill's house! If his family members are attached to their pets as much as ours, they have grieving beyond the structure to get through.

We have a wintery mix on the way too, Sue. Drive safely folks, and take good care of each other. :wavey:

Oh Tanya! Leah is adorable!! No wonder you are preoccupied. ;)

Hey - with this bad weather, could you all remember my DH and the college students in prayer? They're leaving NY tomorrow morning for DC just when this snow and sleet is supposed to hit. They can't leave early because they have to pick up someone from the airport tomorrow. So pray that the flight comes in OK and that they get to DC safely and in time to enjoy worshipping and learning with thousands of other college students at the Passion Conference. Thanks!

I'm at church now (trying to get my work done before the snow) and I'm getting ready to leave to go ride. :) See y'all later! :wavey:

    Good morning all,

We had another 4 inches of snow dropped on us and it is 1º right now.

I am leaving to drive Brent on the paper route as soon as he is done bagging them.

Sorry, no time to fix breakfast this morning, but I sure am hungry. I'm hoping someone else brings in some breakfast!

I also have to take Miss Cali to the Vet to have her stitches removed, get my license plate renewed, go to the post office, take Brent to the barbers, and swing by the grocery store. I don't know why I always pick these frigid days to get things done. :(

    HAGD!
