    Sarah Palin speech

Gosh, Gov palin was very impressive, and looked very much at ease and comfortable as she spoke. She really lashed out at obama.

My favorite line of the speech was when she said "some politicians use change to promote their careers, and others use their careers to promote change."

My wife was impressed when Gov Palin said that parents with special needs children will have an advocate in the White House.

She seems to have had such a full life that everyone can find something in common with her. I am anxious to see the polls over the next few days.

BTW, if the Republicans really want to win, then they should have chose a better class of entertainment after her speech......Gretchen Wilson? Cowboy Troy? and that short guy from "Big and Dumb".....good grief!!!!

She burried Obama. And she did it with a smile.

"Some people use change to further their careers, others use their careers to further change".

"He has had plenty of time write two memiors but no time to write any meaningful legislation".

"When the stadium lights go down and the styrofoam columns go back to hollywood, what does Obama plan to put in place?"

    Sara Palin

My wife said " The difference I notice between her and Hillary is that when they are on the stage together Sara Palin acknowledges her husband".

Very good speech. She said the things that needed to be said yet still appeared feminine which is something Hillary had trouble with. I think she really connected with America. Now the contest begins....

    Debates are next.

My wife said that the difference between Sarah and Hillary was in the sound and tone of their voices. Hillary sounds like a nagger, and Sarah sounds like a lady.

BARRACUDA lived up to her name! She not only hit a home run, it was out of the ballpark. Loved the "what's the difference between a pit bull and a hockey mom" line. Lipstick.

I want a John McCain and Sarah Palin on my side in a terrorist attack.

She has blown this campaign out of the water!

Some of the left wing media on tv are already saying that she was too sarcastic and attacked obama too hard. Give me a break. After all the media and the Democrats have put her through this week, I thought she was rather nice about it.

Reagan and Maggie Thatcher but a lot easier to look at (and, apparently, a better shot than either).

Whatever happens in this election, I predict she will one day be behind the desk in the Oval Office.

She came off sweet and maternal

That PTA mom, she is not an attack dog, Wolf Blitzeer really liked her but I think if you noticed the Republican party and John McCain attacked the media pretty strong in the last 48 hours, they may have rolled over for them.

But she did come off motherly and kindly and all those kids on the stage was priceless.

    let the debates begin

    anyone see Gretchen Wilson?

Kieth Olberstupid quoted Lincoln, "those that enjoy this kind of thing, will find this the kind of thing they enjoy."

Chris Matthews was clearly stunned by the speech.

It's going to be hard for PEOPLE MAGAZINE, or anyone else to say anything bad about this woman. I heard a few things that the MSM could jump on, and a few trhings that I didn't like, as well, but I want to see how long it takes for America to get over this speech.

She didn't fall all over herself trying to explain or apologize for anything, yet she presented very well who she is, who her family is, and where she came from. And all the red meat....I can't even remember all the examples and so many have been given here already - I just know I was cheering pretty often!

As a side note - I thought McCain's mom was so cute - did anyone notice her? I think on some of the things she may not have caught the finer points of humor and "meat", but she applauded for everything, and then when at the end when Sarah asked us to support him, she applauded and her face seemed to say - I understand what she's saying NOW!!! :applause:

I've only listened to the first 15 minutes or so. I will get back a little later.

I know this is politics. I can't emotion get in the way of that. But I think Gov Palin hit a home run with the average middle America, Joe and Jane Doe, who struggle with every day issues. She comes a cross as 'one of us' I think America is looking for one of us' right now. All the smear attempts will fail because they play on her strength, the feeling that "I could do a better job than those jerks in Washington.' Keep calling her an outsider, keep saying she doesn't know the ropes. Therein lies the reason I suspect we saw the next vice-president give a marvelous speech last night.
