Times have changed. This historical article, written two years ago, is coming true!

Here are a few snips from "High Infidelity" by Steve Benen.

How times have changed even more, when Focus on the Family calls cops on Pro-Life Christians:
"Change of Heart for Focus on the Family"

When a truly God-revering, constitutionally-focused leader is presented as a choice, isn't it our place to vote for him, regardless of worldly polls and statistical outcome-based bets?

Whether lever, button, or write-in, by voting for the best, God will take care of the rest.

It was not self confessed, but it was well known that Grover Cleveland had an out of wedlock child before he was elected president of the US.

The ditty that went around at that time was:

Biblical History on National Leader Sin and National Corporate Punishment

When a nation lowers its standards for the selection of its leadership, what will God do?

A look at the history of a national day of prayer.

Why is there a National Day of Prayer? Is there any real
history to this? Is it important at all?

A National Day of Prayer - Why? In the Supreme Court "Abington v.
Schempp" and "Murray v. Curlett" decisions on 6/17/63, it reaffirmed its ban
on school prayer and banned school Bible reading. In "Stone v. Graham" in
1980, it banned hanging the 10 Commandments in public schools. Since 1963,
the U.S. has become the western world's #1 leader in violent crime, divorce,
teenage pregnancies, voluntary abortions, AIDS cases, illegal drug use,
    illiteracy, and teenage murderers.

At the Constitutional Convention, the difference between individual
accountability to God and national accountability to God was explained. An
individual answers to God in the future, but not a nation. George Mason,
the Father of the Bill of Rights, explained: "As nations cannot be rewarded
or punished in the next world, they must be in this. By an inevitable chain
of causes and effects, Providence punishes national sins by national
    calamities."

A Bible example is of Elijah in I Kings. After Elijah won his confrontation
with the prophets of Baal, he complained to God, "There's no one else in the
nation who believes in You." And God responded, "There are 7,000 men left in
this nation - men of integrity, righteous men, men who do love Me....."
Ahab and Jezebel were the nation's wicked leaders. Because of their
wickedness, the entire nation, including 7,000 righteous men, went without
    rain for 3.5 years.

This is why the Founders were so emphatic about keeping men in office who
understood God's principles. In perhaps the most famous speech ever
delivered by Benjamin Franklin-delivered on Thursday, June 28, 1787, on the
floor of the Constitutional Convention. Franklin reminded the delegates that
we needed God to be our friend, not our enemy; we needed Him to be our ally,
not our adversary; we needed to make sure that we kept His "concurring aid"
as Franklin called it. Franklin warned:

"If a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable
that an empire can rise without His aid? We've been assured in the sacred
writing that, 'Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that
    build it.'

And thus Franklin called for regular, daily prayer to make sure that we kept
God in the midst of what we were doing in the nation.

Jefferson, too, understood this principle. Jefferson declared:

"And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed
their only firm basis - a conviction in the minds of the people that these
liberties are the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with
His wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just:
that His justice cannot sleep forever."

A nation does answer to God for the stands it takes.

Abraham Lincoln-during the Civil War, overheard someone in the White House
state that he hoped that God was on "our" side in the battle - that God was
on the Union side. Lincoln, showing that he understood the principle of
    national accountability, replied:

"Sir, I am not at all concerned about that, for 1 know that the Lord is
always on the side of the right. But it is my constant anxiety and prayer
that I and this nation should be on the Lord's side."

This understanding of national accountability to God has been part of our
heritage-part of our history. Our Founders understood that a nation needed
to take stands that lined up with God's principles so that God's blessings
and "concurring aid," as Franklin described it, could rest on the nation.

Let us pray for our nation and the leaders of our nation so that God does
not use a national calamity, like war with China or Russia, to exercise His justice
against our nation for its great corporate sin.

Note: The facts provided above come from "America's Godly Heritage" by David Barton

Some have been led to believe that Christians are not to judge at all.

May God have mercy on our nation.

By lever, button, or write-in, prayerfully consider your support for Pastor Chuck Baldwin. As long as we act on the best choice, regardless of worldly polls and statistical betting, God will take care of the rest.
