What Novak printed is not the issue; it's that some one in the White House was leaking confidential info.

She refused to answer the investigator's questions after being subpoenaed - contempt.

 

The way I understand it, Judith Miller will probably stay in jail because she is a Bush supporter and her lips are hermetically sealed rather than say anything that might cast aspersion on the WH. Kinda reminds me of a woman called Susan Macdougal a few years back.

Of course, I could be wrong.

 

In July 2005, as a result of the Judith Miller and Matt Cooper grand jury investigations, Time Magazine revealed that Karl Rove was Matt Cooper's source. Additionally, many have speculated that Rove was Novak's source as well, although that has yet to be proven in public.

In the past when Rove has planted fake documents or leaked information to the press it has always been to more than one person, so it would make since that Rove told Miller, Cooper, Novak and more about this CIA agent.

 

Here is the bottom line:

Everybody and their grandmother knows that Karl Rove will never get prosecuted for this. Why? Because he's a Republikkkan and controls Bush's brain.

I have a question for all of you conservatives defending Rove. If this was a White House official from the Clinton Administration, would you be defending this individual? Where was the outrage when the mean smearing campaign conducted by the Republikkkans were all over Clinton during the Monica Lewinsky scandal?

A little hypocritical don't you think? And don't tell me that CLinton cheating on his wife with an intern is worse than what Rove did outing the CIA agent and lying about it to a grand jury, because WRONG IS WRONG! There is no sin greater than the other.

 

Who was that guy who snuck secret documents out by stuffing them in his pants?

When Judith Miller is released from Jail, is she likely to profit financially from this whole thing? Will she be seen as a Political Martyr?

 

Remember folks, at least those of you interested in the truth, there is no evidence that Rove knowingly outed a covert CIA operative. He did not give her name. He apparently told a reporter that he was about to print an incorrect story and suggested how he might find the correct information. There does not appear to be anything illegal or unethical about that, at least as of what we know right now.

I believe this whole debackle is going to fall hard on the New York Times.

Rove is not an issue any more, and never was, except in the "wildest dreams" of the leftists.

 

Before Rove's name ever came up the Whitehouse is on the record as saying that whoever leaked the CIA information should be prosecuted, does their position change now that they know it was Rove leaking to the press?

Rove is known for leaking information, spreading false information and even creating fake documents to be distributed, he has been doing this for 30+ years!

Don't know about these accusations, but Rove isn't guilty of this one, and if you weren't biased you'd know it.

The leftists are in "save yourself" mode now because they've struck out on Rove.
