0bam@ kept his promise and ended the war in Iraq.

    Here is his video:

As 0bam@ said: “You know I say what I mean and I mean what I say,” he told crowds during his reelection campaign. “I said I’d end the war in Iraq. I ended it.”

You misunderstand. He did end it -- that one. What's happening now is a different one. He made no promises about this new one ... which, by the way, we wouldn't have to deal with if Bush had done something differently.

We have been at war with Iraq for 24 years, starting with Operations Desert Shield and Storm in 1990. Shortly after Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait that year, the propaganda machine began agitating for a US attack on Iraq. We all remember the appearance before Congress of a young Kuwaiti woman claiming that the Iraqis were ripping Kuwaiti babies from incubators. The woman turned out to be the daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador to the US and the story was false, but it was enough to turn US opposition in favor of an attack.

This month, yet another US president – the fourth in a row – began bombing Iraq. He is also placing US troops on the ground despite promising not to do so.

The second Iraq war in 2003 cost the US some two trillion dollars. According to estimates, more than one million deaths have occurred as a result of that war. Millions of tons of US bombs have fallen in Iraq almost steadily since 1991.
What have we accomplished? Where are we now, 24 years later? We are back where we started, at war in Iraq!

Did Obama end the War in Iraq, or did he end American involvement in Iraq. Big Difference.

U.S. military involvement of the Second Indochina War ended on 15 August 1973. The War itself ended in April 1975 after the capture of Saigon by the North Vietnamese Army.

The War continued for over two years despite the Paris Peace Accord, which was signed by all parties in January 1973.

Obama didn't end either. But he and his neocon handlers did help make it possible for the next stage to play out in Iraq. Namely being a party to funding and arming the Islamic extremists from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Libya, Syria, and Qatar that have now been fully equipped and re branded "ISIS" aka the new "arch enemy".

Support the troops, give up your liberties.

I seldom disagree with you, Poncho, but in this case let me point out that the war in Iraq was ended just before the election of 2012. This current war is a new war.

The Vatican was against the war that Obama ended but Pope Francis is for this war. You see, Islam is the religion of peace and Pope Francis, as Jihad Watch notes, wants to prevent Islam from being misunderstood in Iraq.

The Iraq war never ended. It just wound down for a minute so your new heros Barrack and Hillary could score some political points and concentrate on funding and arming their Islamic Jihadi allies in Libya and Syria that are now fully equipped and has been re-branded as "ISIS the newest boogeymen on the block."

You neocons should be happy about the threat from "ISIS", it gives you all a whole new impetus to invade and occupy Iraq all over again. Of course judging from the neocons past exploits in "spreading democracy at the barrel of a gun" it will be another huge failure and serve to swell the ranks of the Jihadis even more than their last epic failures.

Wanna know how to stop the spread of Islam? Stop funding and arming the radicals.

Oh, I don't even know any neocons and I don't know any Tea Party people either.

It is Pope Francis that is calling for this war. The Pope probably doesn't know that he is creating more terrorists, which was one of the reasons that 0bam@ had to end the last Iraq war. If we get any more terrorists, the world won't be big enough for them. The Pope had better watch his step. I think that he promised to consider 0bam@ for sainthood--well, at least Biden said that 0bam@ should be a saint.

Did you know that if you keep saying "Obama ended the Iraq war" long enough you'll start to believe it?

The last U.S. troops left Iraq in December 2011, while Barack Obama was president, but the “status of forces agreement” that governed the departure of U.S. troops was actually negotiated between Iraqi and U.S. officials in late 2008, under the auspices of President George W. Bush. In fact, none other than the Huffington Post actually pointed out that as president, Obama was actually interested in keeping troops in Iraq past the agreed-upon 2011 deadline, explaining that “the president ultimately had no choice but to stick to candidate Obama's plan -- thanks, of all things, to an agreement signed by George W. Bush.” Just six months before the Bush deadline, Obama tried to foist 10,000 U.S. troops on the Iraqis past 2011.

I would have asked you to prove "Obama ended the Iraq war" but that would probably have just ended up with you trying to associate me with "ISIS".

The world keeps getting more terrorists because Washington and it's Saudi allies keep funding and arming them for "regime change" agents (see the Libya and Syria interventions for details). "ISIS" didn't just "pop" out of nowhere while no one was looking.

Poncho, you are contradicting the word of the President of the USA, who said that he had ended the war in Iraq and that he was a man who kept his promises.

Poncho, why are you contradicting the President of the USA?

Better question, why do you keep repeating things that aren't true and making claims you cannot prove?

What do you hope to gain from continuing this kind of behavior, "credibility" Baptist Board style?

No I mean all the funding congress passes in a bipartisan fashion to keep sending Islamic and other "rebel" groups money and weapons, even "heavy weapons" whatever that might mean. John McCain usually takes point on the photo ops, waving and smiling and demanding the 'rebels" be armed for democracy! "We have no other choice but to help these poor oppressed 'rebels' defeat the 'evil dictator that kills his own people" (insert current meanie's name here ________. ) pass the cookies and keep repeating it ad infinity.

What's on the news tonight Joe? Reruns again Sam.

I know, right? Now we're buying oil from the "rebels/Al Qaeda/ISIS/IS" in Libya.

Talk about buying the perfect enemy.
