10 hrs to live, what would you do?

    According to this link:
    http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/1110AP_Mine_Explosion.html?source=mypi

Pastor Wease Day, of Sago Baptist Church, told the worshippers they imagine they had only 10 hours to live, and write a note about how they would spend those final hours.

This is of course the church the miners' families gathered together as the rescuers were trying to save the trapped miners here in WV.

So what would you do if you knew you only had 10 hrs to live?

I would pray and ask God what He wanted of me.

But right now, there are three things I can think of immediately.

    1. Help Barry get as much of his stuff in order as possible. We are in the middle of a lot of material right now and I sort of 'translate' him from his normal scientific jargon into English!

    2. Get any finances necessary in order so that Barry and the kids wouldn't have to worry about anything or wade through anything.

    3. Write letters to the kids, telling them again of my love for them and reminding them of the truth of Christ and the Bible -- some are sure of it and some still in the early 20's years of searching and questioning.

And, if there was to be a memorial service of some kind, there are things I would like to remind people of regarding Christ to encourage them in their own walks with Him, so I guess I would think about writing something up.

And then I would simply hold Barry and Chris and love them.

    call the people i love...
    laugh with them...
    smile with them...
    pray with them...

    recall God's graciousness...
recall the times when God showed His sovereignty to me, then thank Him for it...

e-mail the people i have not had good relationships with, and tell them some reconciling words...

    watch my favorite anime...

I'd call my parents and siblings and present the Gospel to them one more time.

I'd thank my wife for all that she has done for me and make sure she knew I loved her.

I'd let my children know I love them and encourage them to walk with the Lord.

The way my week has been I would probably get the message about 9 hours into my last 10.

What would I do? Enjoy my family. If my life thus far has not been the witness it should have been the last ten hours will not make a difference.
