This is a book by Dr. Ronnie Floyd. Although I may not agree with all of his points, it is an interesting read.

    1. The Power of One hour - focus on just one thing/objective for an hour
    2. Who You Are is More Important Than What You do
    3. Practice Determines Play
    4. Building Family is More important than Building Ministry
    5. You're Not Thinking Big Enough
    6. Not Every Hill is Worth dying On
    7. Relationships Move Your Ministry
    8. Decision-Making Is Not About You
    9. Balance Draws Masses
    10. How To Believe God for Your Future

I agree with them all, except I don't understand "Practice determines play" can you expound on that? WHat does he mean in that?

His point is how we as ministers live our everyday life determines how things go on Sunday.

His example was an athelet practices and gets ready everyday to play on the weekend. If he does not practice right or well, his game will will be off.

This is the chuck-sloppified version but I think that may explain it better.
