Just in to local news networks, 2 to 4 gunman gun down 10 employees at Paris newspaper, plus 2 cops. Gunmen escaped. Paris calls this a terror attack. Check for news links for more info.

Will the world need to look differently at terrorism if we expect to stop more attacks! Do you see this happening anytime soon?

It's impossible that they had guns. Guns are banned in France.

As much as I dislike Obama, please use the whole quote. You are being dishonest by not providing the rest.

How so? The sentence makes sense by itself. Why does Obama say stupid things like that?

If you object, you provide the context and explain the statement for yourself.

"The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam. Yet to be credible, those who condemn that slander must also condemn the hate we see when the image of Jesus Christ is desecrated, churches are destroyed, or the Holocaust is denied."

In other words, all religion is equal. He is saying that those who get mad when someone pokes fun at Mohammed should also get mad for other religions when their icons are used irreverently.

No, that sentence doesn't stand on its own. To use only that sentence instead of the whole quote is to purposefully take what he said and twist it to sound as if he meant something he didn't. Which is dishonest.

And you realize what you are saying with your last sentence, right? "I don't care if I'm being honest, all I care about I if Obama looks bad." Or, at the very least you are saying you will believe anything bad about Obama without fact checking.

Are you really so naïve to think that Obama cares what people say about Jesus, when even he himself as denigrated Christianity? Furthermore, the poor Egyptian Coptic who put a video on YouTube is still in jail and Obama got the video removed by Google.

Actions speak louder than words. If you say that there is no future for those who slander the prophet, where do you go from there.

I know that it is racist to criticize Obama and to quote what he actually said.

And you could stop right there. My objection was not with what Obama thinks or cares about. It was with your dishonest portrayal of what he said. I hold no love for Obama, but dishonesty is dishonesty, no matter who it is directed towards.

Again, I am not defending what he did or didn't do. I am calling for honesty when you are talking about what he said. To use a portion of a quote to make him look bad is, simply put, lying. It is beneath a child of God to do so, and one shouldn't stoop to that level.

What in the world are you talking about? No one said anything about race. And no one said anything about not criticizing him. Criticize him all you want, for all I care. Just don't misrepresent what it means to be a Christian by being dishonest; and you did that by taking one sentence out of context and using it to say that Obama said one thing, when he was really saying the opposite.

Well, Sapper Woody, we will put you in charge of what is slander of Mohammed and you can see that those who slander the prophet of Islam have no future.

I will kick the ball off by saying that Mohammed was a child molester. Now you can stop me from having a future because I have slandered the prophet of Islam by telling the truth about him.

I feel like I really need to drive home the my point of what you (and many other people) did by taking only one section of what Obama said and made it seem like he was saying things he didn't say. The following is a quote of what you actually said, CMG.

Do you see what I am saying? Taking one sentence out of a paragraph that Obama said is the same as what I just did to your quotes. You literally said those things I quoted, but you did not mean them in the way they appear when quoted by themselves. I quoted you verbatim. I just left out pieces, like you did with Obama.

What does that means "the future does not belong too"? How is he going to enforce such a statement? In America the future belongs too all of those people. Whether we like it or not.

    It was an idiotic statement.

Wow, now you're just being stupid. You're ignoring the entire point I made, to talk absurdities. I never said I agreed with what Obama said. Forget Obama. It's not about him. It's about your dishonesty.

Again, you're being absurd. This has absolutely NOTHING to do with what we're talking about. You're not even close to the ballpark.

I agree, Rev. The whole premise was flawed, and spoken in a way to placate people. It was a very thought out way of really saying nothing.

That's not true because the Egyptian went to prison for the YouTube video and Google was forced by Obama to take it down.

Ok, what's not true? You now have a sentence claiming something is wrong, when we're not even sure what you are claiming is wrong. In order for me to answer you, I kind of need to know what you're talking about.

My closest guess is that you are saying Pres. Obama wasn't being honest in what he said. And I would agree with you there. Pres. Obama is a known Muslim sympathizer. I don't think anyone here would disagree with you. Where I disagree with you is you making Christians look bad by taking Pres. Obama's words out of context and misusing them.

I understand what he is saying. I share similar concerns because of other actions by the Obama. I believe the first portion of that statement is representative of his true and total feelings and he just tacked on the rest to get away with the first.

Why that is, I believe, is up for debate but I think he has an agenda to passify muslims because he thinks it will win him their favor and he can then make any number of foreign policy claims.

Your context did not change the meaning of the UN speech at all. Nor is it true that it was just an idiotic statement because Obama saw that the Egyptian went to prison, where he still is, and Obama saw that Google took down the YouTube video portraying the life of Mohammed for what it was--so Obama saw that one guy paid a price for "slandering" Mohammed.

At any rate, the new messiah did not stand for freedom of speech about religion when he told the UN a couple of years ago: The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.

I am sorry if you cannot understand, but it in fact not only changed the meaning, it reversed it completely. Whether he was being honest or not, is another debate (I personally don't think he was being honest). But the fact is, in context it says the opposite of what you are wanting it to say.

Again, I'm not sure what you're getting at here. You're being slightly incoherent. Your meaning isn't clear. I can't answer this paragraph without some clarification.

    I'll agree with this part.
Freedom of speech isn't about religion. It's about the ability to speak out against the government without repercussion. Religious freedom is what you're looking for, not freedom of speech.
And there you go again, misrepresenting what he said in order to twist it to your agenda. Again I will remind you that this is unbecoming a Christian. Speak to his actions, speak to his words, criticize him all you want. Lying is still wrong.
