This is just a small fraction of the number of people being killed every week by the cigarette companies in America. The most deadly terrorists are not in the Middle East, they are right here in America, and they have infiltrated every city and town in our nation.

The terror attacks that Ben has listed here are real---the word from the Word tells us that we are to "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem."---when we pray for the peace of Jerusalem we do two things

#1 We are "staying" the hand of terrorism in Jerusalem's "local" and for Earth's peace globily.

#2 We are praying for Jesus' visable return to Earth in setting up His Millinial Kingdom

    "Even so, Come, Lord Jesus"

Now--as for Craigbythesea's comment----thank you, dear Brother! If I had any message to preach outside of the saving gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ---that message would be two fold for any age group

    #1 Don't START smoking

    #2 If you do smoke----stop!

I think to equate people smoking cigarettes to terrorism attacks on societies is ludicrous. The immediate goal of terrorism is to exert influence over a people, and to impose the terrorists will over a people, by demonstrating that a government cannot protect its citizens. The ultimate goal of terrorism seeks to overturn legal systems of government with illegitimate control (i.e., the Taliban). Some forms of terrorism exist simply to kill, maim, and inflict terror on a group of people hated by the terrorists.

Smoking cigarettes, while stupid in light of what we all know of their dangers and self-destructive as well, are self-inflicted wounds, not wounds inflicted by others. There is no equivalence between the two and no valid comparison exists. One can avoid the dangers of smoking by simply refusing to light-up, by refusing to smoke, by exerting self control. None of those methods are effective against terrorists.

It is sad that the attacks took place. The Israelis and the Palestianians have basically been in a state of war since June 1967. There have been gallons of blood spilt on both sides.

Hopefully, both sides will push for peace eventually and the two State solution will implemented - especially for the benefit of the children on both sides. It must be horrible for Israeli and Palestinian children to grow up in the current environment.
