How does that make a difference? How many dominican ball players look African-American?

This is supposedly a Christian Forum. I have a hard time understanding how a Christian could vote for an abortionist, one who voted to forbid infanticide.

Where did you get these stats? I would be interested in seeing how you got the "ruling" that one had to be 12% of a race to be that race and how you cam up with Obama being 6% black. Is 'arab' a race like white and black?

Glad you think so highly of the ACLU and the Rainbow Coalition.

It's like the boy that cried wolf, there may be legitimate cries but they will go unheard because of the amount of crying.

Two surprises one in favor of McCain and one for Obama+record voter turnout

    Obama 375 McCain 157 Ties 6
    [IMG]

I really like this site gives good up to the day information and has great commentary.

Surprise for McCain is West Virginia with all the blue surrounding West Virginia he still holds on to it as lean Republican.

Surprise for Obama is Arizonia, it still leans Republican but barely, will McCain actually have to campaign in his home state?

Record Voter turnout and the bottom line:
Ohio Voters Are Wary of the Integrity of the Election
First-time Ohio voters may be forgiven if they have forgotten the problems and controversies concerning the 2004 Ohio election, but older voters remember them well. Republicans are worried about ineligible voters casting a ballot and Democrats are worried about eligible voters being denied the right to vote. In truth there is hardly any evidence that many ineligible voters have ever voted. In fact, this issue was the heart of the U.S. attorneys scandal, when the Bush administration pushed many U.S. attorneys to prosecute voter fraud and the attorneys argued there really wasn't any fraud to prosecute, which prompted the administration to fire a number of them.

Watchdogs Warn of Trouble on Election Day
Many experts say that despite 30% of the electorate voting before election day, the crowds will be so large on Tuesday that there could be chaos everywhere. Florida, among other states, has a "no match, no vote" law, which prevents anyone from voting if information in the voter registration data base differs from that in other state data bases, all of which are riddled with errors from top to bottom. These people will no doubt argue with the poll workers, slowing down the voting process. In principle, disputed voters can cast provisional ballots, but many precincts are expected to run out of them. In Georgia, people with Latino names have been flagged because they might be illegal aliens. Lawsuits are flying all over the country and poll workers are memorizing the election administrator's prayer: "Lord, let it be a landslide."

Ron Paul Could Be a Spoiler in Montana
Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) is on the ballot in Montana on the Constitution Party line and could play the role of a spoiler. Although Paul has not campaigned in the state, he is popular in this libertarian state and could draw votes away from John McCain here. Recent polls have shown Montana to be close, so Paul might tip the state's three electoral votes to Barack Obama. (go Ron!)

African American Missourians: 65% support Obama!

Experts are surprised that African American Missourians are supporting Obama by just 65%. Most national polls show African Americans supporting Obama by 95%.

    http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1008/15117.html

Missourians are known for not accepting campaign rhetoric. They want politicians to "show me".

    McCain will take Missouri!!!

It seems that most black Americans in Missouri are smarter about political choices than those in Illinois.

not sure why this surprises you. It simply says a lot of blacks in MO are republicans while 95% of blacks nation wide are Dem's.

    Sounds about right to me.

    fascinating statistic.

Alabama, a conservative state, would never see those stats.

Missouri, a more centrist state (not liberal, but more "swing" than the deep South), does.

Is McCain targeting the african-american vote in MO?

    to quote Spock: "Fascinating."

Zogby: Mccain Moves Into Lead 48-47 In One

ZOGBY SATURDAY: Republican John McCain has pulled back within the margin of error... The three-day average holds steady, but McCain outpolled Obama 48% to 47% in Friday, one day, polling. He is beginning to cut into Obama's lead among independents, is now leading among blue collar voters, has strengthened his lead among investors and among men, and is walloping Obama among NASCAR voters. Joe the Plumber may get his license after all...

Doubts about Obama continue to rise: McCain pulls ahead in poll!

    McCain takes the lead!!!

    http://www.zogby.com/main.htm

McCain has made a move in the final turn and has a lead going down the stretch.....He could win this election despite the news media predictions of doom for him and the republicans.

    peace to you:praying:

African Americans make up huge voting blocks in St. Louis and Kansas City and tend to register overwhelmingly as democrats, just like everywhere else in the country.

    It is very interesting.

So does anyone know which poll came the closest to the actual results this year? Right now, it looks like the Obama margin of victory will be exactly 6% points.

In 2004, it was the Investors Business Daily poll that came the closest.
