250 Million Christians Will Be Persecuted in 2007

"250 million Christians worldwide will face persecution in 2007, simply for following Jesus Christ, according to persecution watchdog, Release International. In particular it was found that persecution is growing the fastest in the Muslim world.

Release has found that most persecution takes place in four distinct ‘zones’: those of Islam, Communism, Hinduism and Buddhism. But persecution is growing fastest of all in the Muslim world."...

I doubt that you will find 2 million American Christians that are outraged by that fact.

Not unless it starts happening here, which, it may end up being that way someday. After all, there is no reason why the West should be exempt from Christian persecution - the Early Christians weren't and Christians throughout the centuries have been persecuted by Muslims and others.

I seriously doubt you can find more than a handful of Southern Baptist churches who even acknowledge the persecution of our Christian brothers & sisters across the world except on International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church, and even then, I doubt if many participate. It's a shame. :tear:

It is a shame . . . and soon our brothers and sisters in the military will be subjected to the hideous homosexuals and their political agenda.

When the muslims take over, the homosexuals will be the first to go. I had a muslim doctor once tell me that the best way to deal with homosexuals is to line them up and shoot them by firing squad. I thought he was joking at the time. He assured me he was not. That, he said, is how muslims would deal with them in America if they were in charge.

There was a story on CBS last night about Iraqi Christians that are fleeing the country as a result of persecution.

I wonder why they didn't flee before they were liberated?

==While this is sad, and while my prayers are with these people, we have to expect this. I think, living in America, we forget that Jesus meant what He said READ HERE.

Simple, you can't flee unless you are liberated.

There's so much to say on the subject because innocent Christians are being tormented and killed because of their beliefs. Half the world doesn't care and it's sad that the world doesn't.

Our brothers and sisters are out there and those who are praying for them must keep praying. Jesus said that we'd be persecuted, so it is kinda expected, but peace will be brought to those who are persecuted and keep their faith close and strong.

This sort of goes along with my post about the Congressman swearing in on the Koran (whether symbolically or officially it really doesn't matter). In the name of tolerance we have no allowed someone whose religious beliefs are completely anti-American in every sense of the word. There really is no arguing that this country has its foundations built upon Judeo-Christian principles and those who do argue against it are really just stirring up the pot with revisionist thinking and fail to study history.

Right now persecuting Christians in America on the level that they are persecuted now in Muslim countries is unfathomable, but it is like the ol' boil the frog analogy. You put him in boiling water he will jump right back out, but you put him cold water and slowly raise the temperature and he will boil to death. Just consider some of the many things that were unthinkable years ago that are now considered not only OK but the norm.

Once we have Muslim leadership in this country is it hard to imagine that their philosophy be intergrated into our society; furthermore, if there philosophy is to persecute, and kill Christians that won't convert to their way of thinking is it not possible that will possibly become our way of thinking? OK maybe not "our" in a true Christian sense, but our way for the country as a whole.

We are will be boiled to death in the name of tolerance, lack of education, lack of foresight, lack of knowledge of other cultures and religions. Yet, the left will turn those exact same characteristics around and say that is exactly why we are bigoted, narrow and intolerant. It is time to wake up America!
