    Influential in what way?

Knowlesge? Help? for me, this would be Helen, and John of Japan to name only two.

There are so many helpful people around here, but with these two users, I can rest assured they are mindful, knowledgable, and scripturally bases in their posts.

Again, there are tons of helpful people, but these two stick out in my mind.

This is where I am supposed to type, "rbell, who else?"

And this is when Ed is supposed to type,

Amen, Brother Rbell- you are so RIGHT ON!

After that...well, it just declines into a cal/arm debate, or we try to figure out the fate of suicides...but for a moment, I bask in the glory of my (limited) influence...

I can no longer resist the urge to self promote, but this list needs at least one person with orthodox teaching. So I add to the list

Still gotta give another vote for Helen. A lot of wisdom and insight there (even if she is a girl!).

    (Just kidding!)

(About the "even if she is a girl" part - not the vote.)

    Wow!
I actually thought no one would post any name or names!
    Wow!

Assignment: After this has gone on for 7 days, boil it down to the 5 most influential!

Determine what it is in the doctrine of each of your candidates that allows you to list them together. Once you have completed that analysis, meet with your group privately, come to an agreement, then reduce it to writing and present it to the BB. No departure from this rule.

I think that two decidedly different groups will emerge. Some of the posters in one group will have a listing which excludes entirely some in the other group. If that happens, the second group should do the same with your grouping, as outlined in the previous paragraph. Analyze the points of agreement in your candidates, meet privately, present your findings.

Each will be preparing for the honor of being listed among the 5 most influential BBers, from your point of view.

The 5 from the first group will then meet in a challenge match with the 5 of the second group. The 5 in the first group will want to be in agreement with each other. The same goes for the 5 in the second group. No disagreements within your group. Both groups are duty-bound to challenge the doctrine of the other, never within their own ranks, at least not publicly. You can talk it over privately, of course.

Be careful........ you may become a bloc of Christians who will join together, gradually becoming more and more negative, as opposed to the kind, gentle, persuasive approach. An individual in one group may become angry, even vicious, in tangling with an individual in the other group. You may want to appoint a "Senior BBer" in your group who can call that person on the carpet, privately, of course.

The idea is to have a peaceful, fruitful discussion of doctrine.

7 days from today, let the dialogue begin!

    Are you ready?

I'd say Dr Bob, Pastor Larry, C4k.

    Probably more.

I have disagreements with all on certain things - but they do manage to be civil and pastorly almost all the time.
