With 93 votes in, here are the results:

View Poll Results: What does Bible Inerrancy mean to you?
(left column, most recent six votes)

    == -1 the Bible has errors (i.e. is NOT inerrant) 3 3.23%
== 0 the Bible has minor errors but is still useful 1 1.08%
== 1 The Bible is inerrant on all doctrinal issues 4 4.30%
+1 2 inerrant on all issues: doctrinal, hist., and scientific 17 18.28%
+4 3 The Bible is inerrant in the original autographs 47 50.54%
== 4 The Bible is inerrant only in the KJV1611 AV 9 9.68%
== 5 inerrant in any English translation based on the TR 1 1.08%
+1 6 The Bible is inerrant in all faithful English xlations 10 10.75%

Again, the lesser number are the more Liberal positions
and the higher number are the less Liberal positions.
Notice the dominate answer is right in the middle of the spectrum.
Items with a value less than one really aren't 'inerrancy' positions
    but are 'errancy' positions.

    As usual, the right answer:
"6 The Bible is inerrant in all faithful English translations"
ties for 3rd or 4th most popular answer.

I believe that The Bible is inerrant in all valid
English translations. The Holy Bible is the Devinely
Preserved & Inerrant Written Word of God.

As before, when this vote gets to 100 votes, I'll start poll #7,
if the PTB (powers that be) will let me. Then we can all vote
our favorite votes again. Until then, we have to wait on the
    new folks to vote ...

    My answer was #3...

I believe this because as the original writers of the bible were inspired by GOD to writdown every jot and tittle. They could NOT make a mistake underneath GOD all seeing eyes...

But the translaters were NOT inspired to translate everything as they did.

May the GRACE of GOD be upon you all.:godisgood:

I'm curious about the rationale behind the sequencing of the answers from the most liberal to the most conservative, particularly numbers 3 through 7. Much appreciation in advance.

Ed, do please allow us to see next time who voted for what.

I personally don't think we should even have people on here who think that the bible has errors.

By the way, I voted that the Bible was inerrant in any faithful translation but I probably should have said the Bible was inerrant in the original autographs since there is no perfect translation. yet it is still proper to call the ESV, the KJV the NAS etc the Word of God.

I don't think we want to know who voted bad. All my quizes seem to have distractors who 'vote wrong' in hopes of messing up my poll. I also see a shrink & take meds to control my paranoia :sleeping_2:

I'm with you -- the Word of God shines through a few misplaced commas.

I voted for #3 but am equally agreeable to #2, which I believe goes hand in hand with being inerrant.

Ed, why exactly did you did you word #2 the way you did?
