Sixty percent (60%) of U.S. voters say the economic stimulus plan that is emerging from Congress is mostly what Democrats want rather than a truly bipartisan product.

I agree. They can do what they want.

I just wish they would stop lying to the nation about wanting to be bipartisan.

They filibustered the civil rights bill, didn't they ? Did a good job in getting us into Vietnam for over a decade, too.

Well I don't agree with either side as I think they both crooks, I agree with your statement.

If they won, they should lead, period.. Right or Wrong is to be decided, but lead us somewhere.

I wasn't a Bush fan, but at least he didn't pretend, he did things as he thought they should be done, Right or Wrong.. He did it.

I wish Obama would just wake up and stop playing peace maker and start running this nation.

Great post. Both sides are crooks, and really no difference between them. We have last years 850 billion dollar waste of taxpayer money brought to you by Bush and the democratic congress. It failed. So now we have the 789 billion dollar waste brought to you by Obama and the democratic congress. The New Year must make it work a second time.

This thread amazes me. The bill should not be Republican, Democratic, or bipartisan. It should be defeated.

I was actually looking forward to Obama at least ending one or two wars. But it looks to me he's decided to go to war with talk radio, and my grandchildren.

And G.W.Bush is as safe in his crimes against the constitution as Barney Frank is.

Obama isn't going to end any war.

He's going to "remission" the troops in Iraq - meaning give the troops a different name such as "advisor" and send them into the field to do exactly what they are doing now.

He will escalate the war in Afgahnistan and take us into Pakistan.

There is an economic crisis. If the Republicans want to play their petty political games and not participate in working out a solution, so be it.

The republicans were blocked out. They COULDN'T participate.

But we'll ALL be participating soon enough.

So, how do you feel about our future wars with Iran & Pakistan, J/C ?

This statement appears to be a deliberate mischaracterization. Maybe you could clarify?

Actually, there were 8 democrats that wanted nothing to do with it. They deserve a thank-you.

So Thank you Bright, DeFazio, Griffith, Lipinski, Minnick, Peterson, Shuler, and Taylor. God bless your efforts. The road is truly narrow.

I just wonder who the 40% are? The bill had to republican support so it would be hard to think they were in favor of it.

Bipartisanship was attempted and neither would meet the other in the center so politics as usual is what we got. I do give Obama credit for trying.

You say you want a revolution
    Well you know
we all want to change the world
You tell me that it's evolution
    Well you know
We all want to change the world
But when you talk about destruction
Don't you know that you can count me out
Don't you know it's gonna be alright
    Alright
    Alright
