True Bethel Baptist Church of Buffalo, NY opened up a Subway restaurant at their church site.

The purpose was to provide job training for its members as well as those in the community.

This franchise was featured on "Undercover Boss".

Very interesting. Certainly different than the usual coffee shop and/or bookstore when it comes to business inside / associated with a church.

From the link...."Reverend Darius Pridgen opened the restaurant at his church in 2003 to provide job training to neighborhood residents and food for the hungry." By providing "food for the hungry" I wonder if that means free and/or discounted food to hungry neighbors.

    :)

They do have a "food closet" but it is not part of the Subway store - but I am sure that the Subway store donates to the food closet.
