A different kind of doctrine statement

I think the guy is an idiot, a complete heretic and his confession is complete rubbish.

 

It would be most interesting to review this person's beliefs in another ten years, when he matures in the faith.

The person lost me quite early, when he stated that he believes that the London Confession was "inspired".

I read an exposition of a statement of faith this past week.
A comment one preeminent leader made about that other statement resounded within me:

"...what was unique about the ... Statement of Faith were the omissions when compared with other creeds."
"Once [they] began to put in writing what was commonly believed among them, they were silent on those doctrines which through the centuries had divided Christians of equal dedication, Biblical knowledge, spiritual maturity and love for Christ."​

...a statement of faith can be a point of separation from others or it can seek to bring together others of diverse background, seeking to unite them in the essentials.
