A farewell to communist Cuba

A retired couple from Birmingham booked a de luxe vacation in paradise. Or so they thought.

The paradise was Cuba.

When the wife became ill she was taken to one of those wonderful Cuban hospitals everyone praises so much, but when the hospital staff discovered that she couldn’t pay, things began to get ugly.

The unpaid bill amounted to 20,000 pounds (26,240 US dollars)

The woman died alone because her husband was not allowed to see her as long as they had unpaid bills. He claims that the hospital ceased treatment of his wife and allowed her to die.

Now, the Castronoids have kept the corpse and won’t release it until her family forks over an additional 7,000 pounds (9.184 US dollars)....
