You mean besides spending 20 hours a day in the politics forum trying to convince us we're all evil for being in the politics forum trying to discuss politics instead of reading 14,000 pages of "you are un righteous and you should feel guilty for spending time in the politics forum trying to discuss politics instead of spreading the gospel like me?"

You know I'm relieved. It takes a load off my shoulders to know when I should be ashamed. Just ask myself WWZD?

Wow. What's the deal? Is there a curfew on freedom of movement?

"Citizens of the U. S. A. You may not be outside after 1:00 am, or you may be subject to arrest. You're just asking for trouble."

If a cop sees you come out of a bar at 1:00 A.M. and get in a car to drive home, you can expect to be pulled over for something. Fact of life.

It was the Lagoon in Essington, Pa. Don't know why I remembered that all of a sudden in the shower this morning. Don't know why I felt compelled to come back and share it, either.

That was never the case with me. In the past I have been pulled over at checkpoints and patted down (Fayetteville, NC), and on at least one occasion when walking through an area that was experiencing high crime rates. I did not resent this. Well ok I did resent it at the time. Was just responding to post #44 in which it was stated that Blacks resent stop and frisk. Welcome to the club. It's not part of The Black Experience, it's just life.

Did not mean to imply you were coming out of a bar, but you are correct. Being out late does draw the attention of law enforcement officers. For a lot of different reasons.

I believe it should. Criminals like the cover of darkness. Does that mean everyone out late should be searched? Of course not. But it does increase your chances of coming into close contact with law enforecment officers. Just reality. If they are interested in doing their job.

Hadn't noticed an argument about this, just a comment and an unrelated response. Nobody said anything about a curfew either.

So, go ahead and punt. Nobody cares.

Lewis said the way to avoid trouble is not to stay out too late. Staying out too late implies a (defacto) curfew. Staying out late does not imply one is leaving a bar at 1:00 am, as you stated. Sheesh.

You may now continue your patented backpedaling maneuvers.

Yes, and being older and wiser I agree. Crime does go up late at night and cops have always been suspicious of anybody out and about.

Nothing to backpedal on , Jr.

Try not jumping to conclusions so often. You own mind plays tricks on you.

You'll find it enlightening and won't let your mockingbird mouth overload your hummingbird brain quite so often.
