Yesterday at the Sarka Valley Community Church here in Prague there were people attending whose first language was; Burmese (5 dialects), Estonian, French, Dutch, English, Russian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Korean, German, and I may have forgotten other languages. To me this was a glimpse of heaven with people from all over the world fellow shipping together. The one difference will be in heaven we will all be able to understand each other as, I believe, we will all speak the same language.

I believe we will be able to understand each other in the same way we would be able to speak any given language at the Spirit's direction.

There may also be one New Earth language that is either something known or something we will know...but I also believe we will be multi-lingual. We'll have an eternity to learn as many languages as we want to and need :)

I'm with 'dog on this one!! I speak and understand English---and I believe in Heaven I will also speak and understand English---as well as a conglomeration of other languages---because the Bible says that Heaven will be filled with people of all nations ----- I really don't believe we will be a people of simply "one language"----for the simple fact that that was the concept of Babel-----that said "Let us be . . . of one language"----in Heaven we will be as far away from Babel as East is from West!!!
