What Mr. Boortz fails to explain is how are we going to "take the road back to liberty, limited government, individual responsibility, and self-reliance" in the midterm elections when the two choices (R or D) are anti-Constitutional, liberal, big government crooks?

    Some are, some are not.

A big problem is longevity which brings power.

    We need term limits.

We also need committeemen at the local level who help nominate those who run for Congress. If only we all did our part...

I talk monthy with a guy that is working in the Rep. party here in OR. They are flayling in the wind to "WIN" rather than set the party direction and pick men that are going that direction for candidates though they are questioning men in detail but I am not sure the party knows where it is going except "to win" and I don't know that that will cut it to make change.

That is what they have been doing for years and here we are.

Yep. It's not about right or wrong. It's not about issues. It's not about creating a stronger, better, more self reliant country. It's all about power and the politicians just want to keep as much power in their grubby little hands as possible.

Anyone who wants the job must be crazy. I think that is why the best people in Congress never run.

The key is NOT the general election...

THe key isn't the general elections...it's the primaries. We Americans have been lazy with regards to research and choosing our congressmen.

We must choose very, very wisely...but I think that in most seats, there are a fewgood choices. But we must look for them carefully. I do agree, SN, that party affiliation does not in any way guarantee us with a decent representative.

I'm sending the text belox to any and all candidates in my district. Hope they'll sign it.

Our forefathers, as brilliant as they were, never foresaw this day, the day when we'd have so few statesmen in Congress and so many politicians.
