I wish I could have put this out for all denominations, but didn't see a appropriate place to post it. Since first coming to the Bap. Board I have seen believers make excuses for women getting abortions, pastors getting divorced, homosexuality, the list goes on. I would like everyone to consider the following. NIV Romans1:28-32 "Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, He gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and deprvity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, Godhaters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they envent ways of doing evil; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them." Matthew 7:18-20 "A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them." Galatians 6:1 "Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted." We as believers not only must avoid sin, we cannot make excuses for those in sin. Giving a drunkard an excuse for being a drunkard is just as bad as pouring them a drink. Is it not. Will you not take a stand against sin? Will you not say that God is right and sin is wrong? Will you not choose a hill to die on?
