If he had only done this 8 years ago it might have done us some good. These federal regulations destroy growth and new business and are one of the biggest reasons American companies are fleeing for other nations (that and our tax base)

Deregulation is what we need. Our current financial melt down was not caused by deregulation but by government interference in private industry. And the government financed bail out is not going to fix it but is going to make it worse.

    At least that MHO

The GOP fought for regulation and the Dems vehemently fought it. Now we are in this financial crisis as a result Some folks need to get their facts straight.

And when the government takes our money to redistribute we all become slaves.

Both those having it taken and those receiving it.

And we line up to buy stuff for a nickle less.

The labor savings of moving operations offshore is just one reason companies are moving. More lax safety and environmental laws are a bigger reason.

Free trade is a great idea, but if the regulations are different in other countries then we don't start on equal footing. One way to attack this is through the global warming hysteria. We should charge a carbon surtax on imported goods from China, India, and other nations that don't follow the same environmental standards we do.
