    Dear Claudia T,
You really need to learn how to rightly divide scripture.

You are posting passages of scripture concerning works of obedience related to our salvation in time, our prevention of chastisment, our not being ashamed when He appears, you are ignoring scripture that teaches clearly that eternal life is by grace and not works, so if by grace then works are no more, but if by works, then grace is no more.

    Dear King James Bond,
Thank you for your kind words. I was raised an Arminian/free-will; much of my family remain in that bondage to fear and the continual frustration of not being able to live righteous enough to satisfy that fear.

Because of these fears, many who know the Spirit of Christ because it dwells in them discontinue their public walk in the church and seek to only serve God in their private lives.

I believe if we study the Great Commission, we shall learn that we have shifted the focus of what Christ tells us to do, which is to gather His sheep into the fold; and we have made our purpose that of eternally saving His sheep.

Again, thanks for your kind words. I humbly ask your prays for me.

    May God Bless,
    Bro. Dallas [IMG]

In Romans 2 we "see" the actions of mankind IN the context of the call to repentance in vs 4 and the RESULT of the impartial judgment of God is that "Judgment is PASSED in favor of the saints" Dan 7:22.

We SEE this in Romans 2 as SOME are judged to go to hell and some to heaven according to an impartial judgment based (as Romans 2 "says" ) on deeds WITHIN the context of the goodness of God and the call to Repentance.

There is no escaping this when one reads the text. The fact that God is not partial (Rom 2:11) is appealed to in that CERTAIN just and merciful outcome of judgment that results in some going to heaven and some hell.

    In Christ,

    Bob
