And praise the Lord. All men have to deal with this.

The church should be a support for families not try to over ride them. Having said that the leadership should oversee standards within the church eg church functions.

Every mans battle dude. (Did I just say dude?)

    Thank you Mexdeaf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been so angry over the remarks of some on here over the last few days I have tried to form a post that would address it.. but then found that I was too insulting to the offenders.. and just deleted it...

I will say this.. don't be surprised that a few women will NOT be back.. (some have talked to me) and it is a shame when a message board will allow the phariseeical type bigots to run off good people.

This, "I'm the man, and you women are wrong' attitude in a couple guys here is like watching something from the stoneage...

GROW UP MEN!... It's not the woman's fault that you can't control your passions...

    ITS YOUR FAULT!...

Like I said last week, this board is being overran by legalists, and Pharisees, and many, many good posters are leaving. Look around...

This board has become a cesspool of the scum of Baptists.

And this saddens me because in the past I have LOVED this board, and have really gotten some good friends and advice...

Good going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... Maybe it's time for us, that know the grace of God and the freedom it affords, to step up.. and shut the others up!...

In some ways, I wish reincarnation was true... I would love to see a few "men"..( boys actually, that are not mature enough to control their bodies... ) to come back as girls!

NOW that would be true poetic justice!

Some people think that just because God created them a certain gender, they are better than the other one.

Guess a prayer would be appropriate from them.. ."Thank you God, that I was not created a woman"...

The bigots on this board are sickening...

Just a little over 100 posts and you are hoping things improve in the BB!...
    Have you thought of leaving?

Your attitude here since you have showed up has been a major problem... and the mods don't seem to care that you come on the board like a troll and spew your venom all over the place.

This board wasn't perfect before, but you posts have insulted soo many that some don't even want to come back.

If the mods won't do it.. the rest of us should say it to you...

STraighten up or NO one will respond to you.. we will treat you as if you don't exist.. The Amish call it shunning....

Maybe I have overstepped my bounds here.. but someone has to do something with this Paul...

And if this post gets reported.. .I have a message for the mod that will review it...

Do All of us a favor, and review all of Paul's posts... look at the venom that has been spewed out.. that is running fine posters off.

Aren't people allowed to have their own opinions? I don't think I've ever critisized a woman on this board for the things she wears because I don't know what anyone wears. However, I thought these boards were for personal opinions. I know many people for whom clothing is a big issue as well as make up. What's the big deal with them saying so?

It is sad anyone would leave the forum over any issue. And it is not necessary as we are not compelled to even open any particular thread. I don't really know what was posted that was offensive but there are a good number of threads and forums to participate in. My last word on this.

1 Timothy 2:9 - "I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety...."

I have a Biblical responsibility to not dress like a harlot - with the express intent of causing a man to stumble. But if a man lusts after me even if I am dressed modestly, I am not responsible for that.
    ...............................................................................................................

Matthew 15:19 - "For out of the heart come evil thoughts...."

And a man has a Biblical responsibility to not treat me like a harlot in his heart, thoughts, and mind. But if a woman in his line of vision is purposely causing him to stumble, then that obviously is a problem cause by the woman.

I don't feel browbeated - only bad that I contributed to discord. And that many of us are misunderstanding each other.

It is clear from Scripture that the greater responsibility is set firmly on the shoulders of men when it comes to gender relations.

Suggesting, as some have, that women are lesser qualified spiritually or more prone to sinful acts because of their "lesser" gender is quite contrary to Scripture and the Gospel.

Seems to me the burden is on the detractors to prove their case. I don't buy it, I think its foolish.

Good to see some well balanced posts, but the inflammatory nature of the rest ? I can't see why they are allowed. Walking through through a forest flinging arrows does alot of damage and is very careless. The three most common are "hypocrite, pharisee and legalist". I haven't seen anyone dictating to anyone and the unfounded comments are actually like objections to red lights according to the color blind.

Given the fact that so many of your own posts, themselves often being inflammatory in nature, continue to be allowed, one would conclude that you would have no problem with inflammatory posts.

Hey this is the BaptistBoard, where women are expected to be quite, wear a long skirt and go to birthing babies. Opinions and original thought are not allowed because when it comes right down to it, Jesus was more concerned about someone's gender then anything else in his ministry.

Really? And you know that "most of these men's wives are at work supporting their [tails]" how, exactly?

Don't get me wrong, I believe it's biblical that men should be the ones responsible for financially providing for their home, but that doesn't mean that women are forbidden from working. It just means that it's not the woman's prime family responsibility to do so. Nor does it mean that, just because a woman works, that she's "supporting" her husband, or that the husband is failing in that responsibility somehow. There's nothing scripturally wrong with a woman working, so long as that does not adversely affect the home spiritually.

Now, getting back to the OP post, standing up for women is something that all men everywhere should be doing. Trying to "put women in their place", otoh, is something that no man has the authority to do.

This is a problem I have with my Pastor. He makes a great salary ($90k) annually. Though he sees that even though he has children that its necissary for his wife to work. I have four children and make less than he which I find is ok but my wife and I agreed that we would do with out to raise our children using the scriptures template. She's at home and I work. We do without certain nice things but our kids get the benefit of a continual parent at home. Which I think is the way God wants it. Its disturbing that during tithes sermons and financial seminars its encouraged to have two sources of incomes. I'm becoming very perplexed.
