A needed answer

    First to the mods, good work on shutting down my string, I wish my MS had not relapsed at the point it did but!

    In a string I now wish had not gone so nova so quickly I was asked a loaded question and I knew it was loaded but was not prepared for the complete hate filled respose that my statement, apparently, provoked. We are engaged in, what I consider to be the beginning of the finalo coonflict before the Rapture, the Catching Away of the Church. Any student of the Holy Scriptures, such as myself knows that there is a plan, set in motion, some six thousand years ago, by God that will not be denied.

    In WWII the US beat the German and the Japanese scientists in building the Atomic Bomb and we saved, it is estimated, more than 500,000
    American GIs and perhaps 2,000,000 more Japanese civilians by dropping the two bombs when we did. If this is true, it was a good bad thing! But one thing anyone calling on the name of God must remember, we only were the delivery of the product and without God, we couldhave just as easily been on the receiving end of those bombs.

    I'm going to go a bit redical here but if you have not been on the Field of Battle, if you have never dealt with legs, arms and the bodies of children hanging from bushes and covering the ground, shhhhh! The Atom Bomb was millions of times worse than any thing anyone had at the time and the Hydrogen is thousands of times more powerful than the Little Boy or the Fat Boy. If we ever are so stupid as to drop the Bomb, we will also receive one! You must remember who it is we deal with. You can call the Nazis, you can call them Arabs, you can call them anything you wish but it is Satan you are at war with and he has no reason to ever stop, he's already condemned. Do you really want to go to Hell with him?

    Remember, never use more force to solve a problem than needed. If you need to push a rock over the edge of the cliff, use measured force or you will tumble with it.

    The nature of war has changed. Unless Islamic crazies or right wing Christian crazies start a war to force God to produce their myth of God's Plan, there will not be another traditional world world war.

    Why no world war? Mostly because of western air superiority and the end of conscription. The only Americans who are getting killed are those who volunteer to go into harm's way.

    Second, no world war because the purpose of war has changed. The purpose of present mini-wars is to give the international corporations control of the oil and opium trade.

    My pearls before swine comment was intended to mean thus: Jesus said not to cast our pearls before swine or they will turn and rend you.

    Our pearls are our young men and women who have been sent into battle to "free" and win the "hearts and minds" of people who hate us and will always hate us, no matter what.

    Our brave troops are our nation's "pearls" so to speak, just to clarify. And the swine refers to the people who have declared war on us, calling us the Great Satan and Israel the Little Satan. This is ingrained in them from the time they are born.

    And re-enforced every time we threaten them, and every time we invade their countries, and every time we overthrow their governments, and every time we drop bombs on them.

    We aren't as innocent in all this as you try to paint us LE. Alot of the hate they feel towards us is rightly earned.

    How well would you like a person if that person kept poking a flaming stick in your eye and telling you how you can live and how you can't?

    I have to agree with Poncho on this one. The US is hardly innocent. We got into bed with folks who didn't believe as we believe, didn't care about democracy and only wanted what we had to give them to further their own aims. If that isn't being unequally yoked, I'm not sure what is. It doesn't matter that at the time those decisions seemed like the right ones, we should have never played those games at all.

    Instead, we should ahve gotten out and let those countries fight their own battles, or we should have invaded and made them states. Why didn't we? the Almight $$. There was more money to be made making war than peace.

    It was oil, people. Oil. That is American "interests."

    Our government has kept us dependent on Arabian oil instead of exploiting our own fossil fuels.

    You will be paying a whole lot more for filling up your gas tank and heating your house this winter under this administration, watch and see.
