In a recent speech Obama refered to himself as a "mutt".
    From the link:
"On the other hand, our preference would be to get a shelter dog. But obviously a lot of shelter dogs are mutts — like me.”

Would this now be an accepted term to use for the new CINC?

Why are you so enamored by racial issues?

We are all mutts. That is one of the strengths of the United States.

I thought it was a great comment. Immediately he let it be known that he does not mind discussions about race, that he is comfortable within himself. That is a very good trait.

Why did YOU bring up race? I am a "mutt" but I am also 100% Caucasian.

Maybe we ought to approach this from a different direction, is this another gaff from the Obomba machine? Is he disparaging the poor puppies that have no say in what they are called, we ought to give these puppies rights. We need to protect them from such uncalled for comments

    PUPPY RIGHTS NOW!
    PUPPY RIGHTS NOW!
    PUPPY RIGHTS NOW!

If I am elected I will demand more rights for puppies! Just give me opportunity to change the face of this fine nation, we will get there if we only have hope.

"Immediately he let it be known that he does not mind discussions about race,"

Now, let me see, he is in a context of dogs, he is speaking of mixed breeds, and now that is a signal that he wants to talk about race --- no wonder I don't understand all the posts on this board, I don't have the interpretive skills to understand plain English - wow no wonder I am not bowing at his feet, I just don't understand him.

    Come on!

Exiting this board to go get an education that allows me to understand that calling one's self a mutt really means I want to talk about race.

    Bye folks!

If at any time in your life you publicly called yourself a fool for doing something would it be OK for everyone to now call you The Fool?

Under some conditions, if I could use it to my advantage, I would not have a problem with it - and I am not joshing about this.

Also, fool and mutt have totally different meanings
