I came across this quote from the Rev. Billy Graham, and it is worth thinking over as we look to the future of the USA, and its citizens as they go to the polls to vote their conscience, faith, and Biblical principles.

"The New Morality is nothing more than 'the Old Morality' in a new package.":tear:

The greatest problem facing the church today is that it has adopted a form of the New Morality in order to be politically correct and keep the coffers and pews filled. This is the reason the road to hell is more like a 10 lane freeway, and the road to Heaven is but a mere path!!!. The killing of fetuses and the acceptance of homosexuality are but a few of the SINS [morals, values, whatever you call them?] today's church will have to answer to God for on Judgment Day!:praying:

I was wondering what the remainder of you see as New Morality issues that the church has bought into and will have to answer to God for? So, what say YOU????

    Shalom,

    Pastor Paul:type:

That it's morally alright and acceptable to vote to allow partial birth abortion, to support the phrase ' homosexuality is not immoral' by voting to approve it.

Evangelical Christians seem to be more supportive of war than any other group in our country. How can this be supported by those who follow Jesus, the Prince of Peace?

You have made this your mantra BB. Yet Jesus plainly stated that His peace is not what the world gives. Christ gave us peace with God not with the world. He even stated that to Pilate. His kingdom is not of this world else His servants would have to fight (make war). For that, Pilate found no fault in Him. In this world we will always have wars. Until that kingdom comes after Jesus subdues the Serpent to the bottomless pit for 1,000 years. We as a people will never secure that kind of peace, only Christ can. Come on with us now and stand for the life of the unborn. Vote against Obama. :praying:

Voting for McCain will do nothing to help the unborn. As I've said previously both McCain and Palin have stated that they do not believe the federal government should change the abortion law. They believe that these should be controlled by the states.

You guys are like Charlie brown and the football. Once again the Republicans are holding on to the abortion issue and once again, like Lucy, they will pull it away. There have been 20 years of Republican administrations in which very little has been accomplished on this issue. Join me and vote for peace instead of unending war. Think of all the yound Iraqi children Bush has killed in the last 8 years. Aren't they human beings too?

Obama will end no wars, and has promised to start more. You have been told this only to disappear without an answer, and pop up on another thread with the same tripe.

Seems like you are the warmonger. Just like Bush. You want to push American Imperialism on Pakistan, in a war that will most certainly cause Obama to have to draft the young, and the poor, and most likely will abandon them in the mountains when he can't keep it from beoming unpopular. And you use the words of Christ to support it.

Add to that your support of the unabated slaughter untold millions of unborn, in an undefensible, reprehensible act.

Shame on you, baptistbeliever. I can't believe you still play this game of your's.

When you stop elevating your personal experience and feelings as a source of authority over and above the authority of the Scriptures you will be able to answer your own question. Until then, you are your own ultimate source of authority, and you are going to continue to find conflict and contradiction between God's Word and your opinions.

God Led His People Into Many Wars...

Let's not forget how bloody the OT was....God sent Israel into many lands to kill and destroy. Then there is the final battle at Armageddon. Did I miss something in my Bible, that you have found in yours????

Shalom, and wisdom to you my brother...
